Deputy General Manager, IT

Responsibilities

The Deputy General Manager (DGM) of IT will assist the Group IT Head in overseeing IT operations, leading digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring that IT strategies are fully aligned with the business goals of Sino Group’s core sectors: real estate development, property management, and hospitality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management and analytical skills, with expertise in application development. Additionally, they should have an understanding of IT infrastructure and security, as well as hands-on experience in implementing AI technologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale digital transformation projects, including ERP (e.g., SAP), CRM, HRIS, and data analytics platforms, to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

  • Drive the implementation of AI-driven solutions (e.g., generative AI, predictive analytics, automation to optimize business processes, reduce costs and improve decision-making.

  • Assist in driving the adoption of low-code platforms (e.g. Outsystems) and AI-powered tools to accelerate innovation.

  • Assist in developing and executing the IT digital strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Prepare and present business cases for IT initiatives to senior executives and stakeholders.

  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including change management, to ensure timely and cost-effective implementation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver scalable and secure IT solutions.

  • Strong stakeholder management to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.

  • Ensure the resilience of IT infrastructure and applications, adhering to agreed SLAs and best practices.

  • Review and establish IT policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks.

  • Assist in developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective investments across the IT portfolio, including AI and automation technologies, to deliver long-term value while maintaining high-quality IT services

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:

    • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields; Master’s degree preferred.

    • Minimum 15 years of IT experience, with at least 8 years in a leadership role managing large-scale applications and digital transformation.

    • Proven experience in real estate, property management, or hotel industries is desirable.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Hands-on experience with ERP (SAP preferred), CRM, HRIS, cloud platforms, data analytics, and mobile/web applications.

    • Knowledge of low-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems) and generative AI applications (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) is a strong advantage.

    • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components (networking, servers, storage, cloud platforms).

    • Understanding of IT security principles, frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST), and compliance requirements.

  • Certifications and Skills:

    • Certifications such as PMP/PRINCE2, ITIL, or related qualifications are preferred.

    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

    • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Communication:

    • Fluent in English and Chinese, with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Senior Infrastructure Specialist

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining large-scale corporate IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on VMware, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), Azure, M365 services, InTune, Microsoft Windows Server/Client, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Virtual Desktop, and PowerShell scripting.

He/ She will be expected to perform the following:

  • Install, configure, and maintain VMware environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server

  • Manage and support Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions

  • Administer and maintain Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, and networking

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device management and security

  • Install, configure, and manage Windows Server operating systems and related services

  • Manage server patching with Azure Arc and updates to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and administration tasks

Additionally, the candidate will help evaluate new technologies and IT platforms based on business needs. He/ She will also assist in implementing security and technical standards to ensure compliance and protect data integrity, and maintaining internal IT documentation including policies, system and topology diagrams, etc.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in server administration and IT infrastructure including Azure Cloud and Microsoft 365

  • Strong knowledge of VMware, HCI, Active Directory, Azure AD, Veeam, Intune, PowerShell scripting, and Exchange servers with availability groups

  • Knowledge of email authentication methods and email Antispam gateway

  • Relevant certifications such as VCP, MCSE, Azure Administrator or other cloud certificates are highly desirable

  • Solid experience in cloud infrastructure such as Azure and AWS, and cloud automation and configuration management is an advantage

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices and change management processes

  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese


Senior Internal Auditor

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will assist managers in conducting financial and operational audits on local and overseas operations of the Group. Major duties include using a risk-based approach in drafting audit programs, testing the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls of business units and reporting the audit results with value-added recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant disciplines

  • Minimum 4 years of internal audit experience in sizable property development company

  • Experiences in sizable accounting firm(s) will be an advantage

  • Proficient in written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is a must

  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines

  • Occasional overseas business travel is required
