Trade Mark Specialist/ Senior Trade Mark Specialist
Responsibilities:
Conduct trademark searches and preliminary risk assessments for new brands, sub-brands, logos, series names, graphics, and packaging designs.
Prepare and file trademark applications in Hong Kong and overseas; follow up on examination reports, supplementary documents, and registration outcomes.
Monitor trademark journals and market usage to detect similar marks, counterfeit products, or infringement risks.
Maintain trademark records, including filing date, registration number, classes, renewal deadlines, and proof of use.
Review and approve new product names, logos, graphics, and packaging proposed by the design, marketing, e-commerce, and sales departments to ensure trademark clearance is completed before launch.
Handle oppositions, revocations, invalidations, and other trademark disputes; liaise with external legal counsel or agents when required.
Assist in formulating trademark usage policies and internal guidelines to prevent infringement and reduce legal risks.
Requirements:
Diploma or above in Law, Intellectual Property, Business Administration, Design Management, or related disciplines.
1–3 years of relevant experience in trademarks, IP, or brand protection.
Experience in fashion, handbags, retail, or consumer goods is an advantage.
Familiar with Hong Kong and Mainland China trademark application procedures, classification, and regulations.
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Detail-minded, responsible, organized, and capable of handling multiple cases concurrently.
