Clerical Assistant (Ref. CA-CAD)

Complaints and Advice Division
2-year fixed-term contract

Requirements:

  • (i) Level 2 or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or (ii) Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent

  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel

  • Proficient in both English and Chinese typing

  • At least 2 years’ customer service experience in handling customer enquiries or complaints

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organised

  • A team player with excellent communication skill, and the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Handle consumer enquiries and complaints

  • Perform screening of consumer complaints received from various channels like webform, emails and letters

  • Ensure sufficient supporting documents of complaint cases are well received and timely processed before further follow-up by the Divisional Officers

  • Collaborate with Divisional Officers to ensure clearing of all newly received cases or emails from complainants, and deadlines are met

  • Render advice to the public on consumer issues and collect feedback on improvements to consumer protection work of the Council

  • Monitor trends of complaints and assist to compile summaries / reports upon requested

  • Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by his/her supervisor or above in the Division

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract.  Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
