Executive, Public Affairs (Temporary)(Ref. EPAT-PMIAD)
Public, Mainland and International Affairs Division (9-month contract)
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing social content plans and digital activities for CHOICE magazine across platforms, including the Council’s official website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Douyin and Xiaohongshu
Draft, edit and proofread social media posts, short articles and communication materials under supervision; support the execution of the monthly content calendar
Coordinate with in-house designers to create engaging visuals and content tailored for different social media platforms
Support the repurposing of long-form content and videos into engaging and platform-optimised formats, working closely with team members and video editors when needed
Monitor basic social media performance metrics and assist in compiling simple reports and insights to support content improvement
Stay informed of social media trends and best practices, and share relevant updates with the team
Provide administrative and operational support for digital campaigns and handle other ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Multi‑media or a related discipline, with at least one year of relevant experience, preferably gained in public sector or agencies. Candidates with less experience but with experience gained in public sector or agencies will also be considered
Strong understanding of social media platforms, along with a strong grasp of the best practices for each platform
Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English; able to tailor tone and style to fit different social platforms, and to quickly summarise detailed information into clear, bite-sized digital content
Strong time management skills, capable of prioritising tasks and delivering projects on time with a high standard of quality
Knowledge in graphic design and video production tools with hands-on experience is an advantage
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organised; a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in working with stakeholders
Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits
Appointment will be offered on a 9-month contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave and MPF. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service needs of the Division and the performance of the appointee.
