Assistant Officer – Examinations Administration (Ref: IP/04/306)

Duties: The appointee will be responsible for handling various administrative duties covering pre-during-post examination operations, providing support in examination facilities, equipment, and related logistic operations; communicating and coordinating with internal and external parties on the examination operations with the objective of ensuring pre-during-post examination activities are properly executed; improving the operations and services of the Division, and meeting the financial objectives within the given resources, timeline, relevant policies and guidelines of the Division and HKEAA.

Requirements:

(a) A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline;

(b) At least 3 years of administrative or operationally focused position or in the field of education or public sectors;

(c) Computer literate, knowledge in system user acceptance testing and data processing is highly advantageous;

(d) Proficiency in computer applications (including MS Office Suite and Chinese word processing);

(e) Strong planning, organisational and interpersonal skills with some supervisory experience;

(f) Highly meticulous, capable of working under pressure and long hours at times;

(g) Self-motivated and ability to work independently under pressure and irregular hours;

(h) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) with customer service experience is preferable; and

(i) Work on public holidays may be required subject to the exam operations.

Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.

Head of Human Resources and Administration (Ref: HR/03/302)

Duties: You will lead and manage the Human Resources and Administration Division (HRAD) in the delivery of professional services in human resources, general administration and premises management by formulating appropriate strategies in line with the business plan of the HKEAA. Being the thought partner to the senior management and peers, you will provide strategic advice on all matters relating to the HRAD and maintain regular contacts and working relationship with internal and external parties including government officials, Council members, legal advisers, consultants, contractors and landlords.

Talent acquisition, training and development, building a succession pipeline, rewards and benefits management, performance management and staff relations are part of your role. You will also oversee premises management, including long-term accommodation planning, strategic management of lease and rental, workspace/facilities planning and management, office security and cleaning services as well as renovation and maintenance projects that best suit the overall financial strategy and operation/development needs of the Authority.

Requirements:

(a) A Bachelor’s degree in HR management or Business Administration or an equivalent discipline. Possession of a higher degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage;

(b) A minimum of 12 years’ managerial experience in which 3 years should be at senior managerial level;

(c) Substantial experience in human resources management and general administration as well as committee work; experience in premises/facilities management is preferable;

(d) Conversancy in regulatory regime of labour management in Hong Kong and best practices in HR management and facilities administration;

(e) Dynamic, progressive and people-oriented leader with high energy level and passion, strategic mind and business acumen;

(f) Excellent skills in staff communication, persuasion and negotiation, and managing a diverse workforce;

(g) Proficiency in both Chinese (Cantonese as well as Putonghua) and English.

Senior Officer – Assessment Technology and Research (Ref: ATR/03/303)

Duties: The candidate will play a key role in supporting the Division’s research, administrative, and school facing operations. Major responsibilities include:

  • Managing divisional administrative and operational processes, including budgeting, documentation, workflow coordination, and preparation of reports and proposals.

  • Supporting the development of grant proposals, research plans, and project documentation with high quality writing and analytical input.

  • Providing guidance and operational support to schools on assessment, curriculum implementation, and related professional practices.

  • Ensuring effective implementation of management policies and contributing to continuous improvement of organizational practices.

  • Demonstrating strong ownership of assigned tasks, proactively identifying needs, anticipating challenges, and proposing solutions beyond routine instructions.

Requirements:

(a) A Master's degree or higher in Educational Studies, Assessment, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration and Policy, or a related discipline. A doctoral degree in a relevant field is an advantage;

(b) At least 6 years of relevant experience in educational research, assessment development, administrative management, or school based support;

(c) Strong familiarity with the Hong Kong education system, school assessment practices, and curriculum frameworks, and experience in developing or implementing education and assessment systems is preferred;

(d) Solid understanding of research methods with knowledge of statistical or psychometric concepts is an advantage;

(e) Effective command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with demonstrated ability to produce clear, polished, and audience appropriate documents;

(f) Strong problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with schools and internal stakeholders;

(g) A proactive, responsible, and forward thinking work style, with the ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and deliver high quality work with minimal supervision.
