The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) is an independent and not-for-profit statutory body which administers public examinations in Hong Kong. Our scope of responsibility extends to administering over 200 international and professional examinations. We are looking for talented people to join hands with the HKEAA family in contributing to the provision of valid, reliable and equitable examinations and a range of assessment services to meet the educational and societal needs of the community. Applications are now invited for the following post:


Officer – Examinations Administration (Ref: IP/09/338)


Duties: The appointee will supervise a team to deliver a range of examinations covering pre-during-post operations; assist in planning resources for the team, resolve any assessment examinations irregularities and complaints; carry out the special arrangement for SEN candidates; assist in identifying improvement areas and propose changes to operation or procedures; communicate and coordinate with internal and external parties on the assessment/ examination operations with the objective of effectively administer various examinations/ assessments and contribute to ongoing operation and services improvement, and meeting the financial objectives within the given resources, timeline, relevant policies and guidelines of the Division and HKEAA.


Requirements:
(a) A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline;
(b) At least 5 years of experience in an administrative or operationally focused position or in the field of education or public sectors with at least two years in a supervisory position;
(c) Experienced in system UAT, or expertise in examination operations and business administration, preferably with strong stakeholder and customer management skills. Good knowledge in contract management, budgeting and complaint handling; customer service, complaint handling, daily accounting operations preferred;
(d) Knowledge of administration in a highly complex environment or examination operations desirable;
(e) Interpersonal, organisational, problem solving and supervisory skills;
(f) Proficiency in computer applications (including MS Office Suite and Chinese word processing);
(g) Highly meticulous and ability to work under pressure and irregular hours (including public holidays); and
(h) Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese preferably including Putonghua.


Employment Terms:
The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.

Assistant Officer – Examination Systems (Ref: ES/09/340)

Duties:
The appointee will provide administrative and operational support for the conduct of the HKDSE examinations, including processing examination scripts and data for candidates with special educational needs (SEN); handling examination irregularities; supervising part-time staff; conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) for various applications; compiling examination statistics; and performing the Unit’s day-to-day administrative duties.

Requirements:
(a) A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; (b) At least 3 years’ working experience; (c) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word; (d) Ability to work independently under pressure and irregular hours during the examination period; (e) Self-initiated, innovative and forward-thinking with strong attention to details; (f) Able to work confidently under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously; (g) Good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills; and (h) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
