Project Officer (Information/Research)
Duties:
To collect and compile information and data related to tobacco control;
To perform regular update of COSH websites;
To liaise with other parties for the implementation of research projects, surveys and opinion polls on issues related to tobacco control;
To assist in the production of reports, publications and presentations of the Council;
To maintain and update the data bases and information systems of the Council;
To assist in other projects/duties as instructed by supervisors;
To assist in maintaining the information technology system of the Council;
To implement web application and maintain COSH websites; and
To perform daily and periodical backup of servers.
Entry Requirements:
An accredited associate degree or an accredited higher diploma or above preferably in Computer Science, Applied Science, Social Sciences or related discipline;
Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Level 2 (from 2007)/Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
A minimum of two years’ post-qualification working experience in the field of information technology or social research;
Hands-on experience in implementing and supporting IT applications is an advantage;
Knowledge and skills in SPSS is a definite advantage; and
University graduate with less experience will also be considered.
