Assistant Manager, Relationship Management

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Relationship Management, the colleague will assist to build, nurture, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. He/she will act as the primary point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction, driving engagement, and identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key point of contact with banks (both HK and ex-HK) covering all HKIB business lines (ECF, CB, CDP, Membership and Events).

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty by proactively identifying and addressing their needs, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Support the formulation and execution of business development strategies (PQP and CDP) by conducting market research, preparing tracking reports, performing performance analysis, managing social media marketing, and maintaining active communication with banks.

  • Monitor key sales metrics to assess progress against targets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to ensure strategic objectives are met.

  • Collaborate closely with trainers to ensure that CDP training (both public and in-house) aligns with latest market developments and effectively addresses clients’ evolving training needs.

  • Perform quality assurance checks on CDP training to ensure it meets HKIB’s standards.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental and organisational objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in business, marketing, communications or related fields.

  • 5+ years of experience in relationship management, account management and business development. Preferred experience in the education sector, training operations, invigilation, or examination, but not required. Banking experience is also an asset.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and a strong team player.

  • Stay updated on current market conditions, identify emerging business trends, and propose product enhancement initiatives through relevant market research and analysis.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Putonghua, and Cantonese.

  • Proficient in computer software applications, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.

Membership Manager (Outreach and Events)

The Membership Manager (Outreach and Events) is dedicated to creating a dynamic and connected member community through innovative engagement strategies and impactful experiences.  This role combines relationship-building with digital transformation, leveraging CRM systems, data analytics, and online platforms to deliver personalised services and enhance member satisfaction.  By leading outreach initiatives, organising signature events, and fostering strategic partnerships, the position ensures members enjoy meaningful interactions, clear value, and a sense of belonging, while driving continuous improvement through data-driven insights.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and formulate strategies for recruiting and retaining Corporate and Individual Members, ensuring a compelling value proposition.

  • Manage member communications to ensure visibility and understanding of membership services and benefits among key stakeholders.

  • Drive membership benefit campaigns and initiatives, including continuing development activities, new member welcome events, and lifestyle programmes.

  • Work closely with management team to support membership recruitment including banks’ senior management, award judges, HKIB programmes’ trainers & examiners, committee members, event sponsors, etc.

  • Build partnerships with universities, professional institutions, and other stakeholders to expand membership reach.

  • Manage government-funded projects involving Corporate Members and other Authorized Institutions in Hong Kong to support talent development for the local banking sector.

  • Oversee membership operations in enhancing efficiency including CRM system management, annual membership renewals, members’ satisfaction surveys and feedback handling, etc.

  • Establish and monitor service standards for the membership and customer experience teams to enhance overall service quality.

  • Promote a data-centric culture and ensure high quality membership data to facilitate decision-making.

Job Requirements:

Education & Industry Knowledge

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline

  • Knowledge and exposure to the banking and finance industry is an advantage

Strategic Membership & Outreach

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in membership development, event and project management, and stakeholder engagement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role

  • Proven ability to develop and implement outreach strategies and member benefit campaigns

Leadership & Project Management

  • Strong leadership and ability to supervise membership and customer service teams

  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver under tight deadlines and pressure

Digital & Data-Driven Engagement

  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems and data analytics to enhance member engagement and operational efficiency

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing

  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in execution

Communication

  • Excellent communication and writing skills, including proofreading, presentation capabilities, and feedback management

  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (written and spoken), including Putonghua

Training Assistant (Part-time)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time support to trainers during FLEX Learning sessions conducted via Zoom.

  • Manage and maintain accurate attendance records for all training sessions.

  • Monitor Zoom chat and respond to participant inquiries promptly.

  • Guide participants in using Zoom features and offer phone support when needed.

  • Encourage and assist participants in engaging with in-class activities.

  • Perform administrative tasks related to FLEX Learning, including data entry and record keeping.

  • Support physical training sessions by setting up rooms and equipment.

  • Monitor participant attendance during in-person sessions.

  • Address participant questions and provide on-site support to trainers.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in any discipline.

  • Experience with Zoom video conferencing and physical room/equipment setup is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Chinese word processing.

  • Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (spoken and written).
