We are looking for aspiring individuals to join our dynamic team to fill the following positions:
Operations Assistant, HKIFFS (2 months)
Responsibilities:
Assist the Operations team in all issues related to festival operations including:
handling enquiries and complaints related to the operations of the annual HKIFF and other Society organized events;
Handle audience enquiries and complaints related to HKIFF screenings, events, and Society activities with professionalism and efficiency;
Manage CineClub subscription processing, updates, subscriber support, and Festival pass preparation for staff, guests, and media;
Input and update all screening information on the HKIFF website and mobile app;
Proofread film schedules, website content, and booking folders to ensure accuracy before launch and printing;
Coordinate with the website vendor for content updates, functional enhancements, and bug fixes;
Liaise with screening venues to ensure smooth audience flow, entry/exit, and seating arrangements;
Organize logistics for booking folder delivery, promotional materials, and the setup and daily operations of the HKIFF Temporary Office;
Prepare agendas and minutes for coordination meetings and manage schedules;
Assist in ticketing operations, including sales report;
Support event coordination for Opening Ceremonies, Premieres, online streaming, and other Society events;
Perform guest reception duties and on-site support at the HKIFF Temporary Office during the festival;
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or management from time to time.
Requirements:
University graduate or equivalent;
Proactive, Independent, good interpersonal and communication skills;
1 - 2 years' working experience in film-related field will be an advantage;
Good communication skills in Cantonese, English, Mandarin will be an advantage;
Understanding web and mobile app trends and experience in managing CMS will be an advantage;
Experience in publishing will be an advantage;
Proficient in Adobe Suite software will be an advantage;
Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access);
Passion for film will be an advantage; and
Required to work overtime and irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays from January to April 2026.
This position is offered on temporary contract terms only.
Festival Assistant, HKIFF (16 March – 15 April) – 6 posts
Responsibilities:
Perform guest reception duties including but not limited to pick-up / drop-off guests in the airport / hotel; escort guests from hotel to cinemas for meet-the-audience / Q&A sessions, and vice versa; co-ordinate with the company’s assigned interpreters/moderators for the meet-the-audience / Q&A sessions;
Prepare and arrange distribution of guest welcome kits;
Arrange festival passes for working staff, guests and related personnel;
Perform clerical duty including but not limited to answering festival enquiries; printing of invitation card labels and sending of cards; and updating RSVP records; Assist in the setup of the festival temporary office at HK Cultural Centre; and on duty at the temporary office during the festival period; Provide on-site support for festival events such as manning of reception desk, ticket redemption, ticket sales, book sales and event helper duty;
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and / or management from time to time.
Requirements:
Tertiary education or equivalent;
At least 1 years' working experience in guest relationship will be an advantage;
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua;
Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint); and
Require to work overtime and at irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during certain peak periods.
This position is offered on temporary contract terms only.
Event and Hospitality Officer, HKIFF (2 months)
Responsibilities:
To assist in event planning and support the execution and logistics of festival events;
To assist in communication with internal teams and external parties to ensure a smooth event run;
To be responsible for the travel and accommodation arrangements of Festival guests;
To communicate with the Festival guests for events execution;
To be on duty at the HKIFF temporary office at Tsimshatsui during the festival period;
To perform guest reception duty;
To offer administrative support to the event and hospitality teams;
To perform any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor and / or management from time to time.
Requirements:
Higher Diploma in Marketing, Communication, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field;
At least 2 years' working experience in event management / guest relationship will be an advantage;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills;
Excellent command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint); and
Required to work overtime and irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during certain periods.
