Technical Officer, AI/ Software/ Electronic Design

Centre of Advanced Power and Autonomous Systems (APAS)

Who we are looking for:

What you'll do:

• Responsible for government-funded R&D projects implementation including but not limited to the field of Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Automotive and New Energy

• Prepare proposals and report related to project progress and issues in timely manner. Ensure full compliance of project goals and Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF)’s requirements.

• Engage in partnership with industry partners and Universities.

• Organize promotional activities related to the projects, such as study missions, presentation on workshops or technical seminars, capability building and exhibition etc

• Support ad hoc projects and assignments and occasional travels to Mainland China or overseas may be required

You'll be a good fit if you have/are any of below:

• Bachelor degree or above in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/ Electronic/ Information Engineering, Mechatronics, Energy or related discipline from a local university

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply 

• Knowledge and experience in any ONE of the following expertise will be a plus:

  • Modern programming language and expertise working with mainstream scripting languages (e.g. Java, C++, ASP.Net, C#, .NET, Python, Objective C, Swift, etc.)

  • C or C++ language and MATLAB simulation

  • DSP/MCU and their software tools(TI, ST, Freescale)

  • EDA tool (PADS, Altium Designer)

  • Deep learning platforms, such as Keras, Tensorflow, Caffe, CNTK, PyTorch, etc.

  • Build AI models using platforms, such as cuDNN, TensorRT, etc.

  • Programming in image detection algorithms for human / vehicles

  • Developing cloud applications running on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Service, Google Cloud etc

  • Robotic, ROS, Pointcloud

  • Programming experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Image Processing skills

  • Microcontroller programming (TI, Infineon, ST, Freescale) and user interface design

  • Experience in motor control

  • Design electronics system for EMI/EMC compatibility

  • Various DSP/MCU and their software tools (TI, Infineon, ST, Freescale)

  • Embedded system design

Technical Officer, AI and Robotics

Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Division

Who we are looking for:

What you'll do:

• Support implementation of government-funded project in the field of AI & Sensing Theory

• Shoulder the responsibility for the development and optimization of the AI/Robotics algorithms of some of the above fields

• Carry out R&D tasks against the plans and complete the project works (R&D work, technical report/paper, patents, etc.)

• May need to travel outside Hong Kong when required 

• Support ad hoc assignments if necessary

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• Master degree from disciplines such as in Robotics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Intelligent Systems or equivalent from a local university or world top 100 university

• Working experience in R&D, government projects or patent applications preferred

• Having rich experience in robotics and programming preferred

• Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

• Mature, self-motivated, confident and able to work under pressure

• Good command of  English or Chinese (Cantonese or Putonghua)

Part-time Intern, Creative and Digital Marketing

Corporate Development Division

What you'll do:

• Develop creative ideas and concepts with marketing team members

• Good sense with knowledge in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effect

• Design and create multimedia content (videography, photography and graphics)

• Support producing captivating videos, social contents and relevant post-production (video editing, subtitling, photo retouching and image editing)

• Assist on-site video shoots, Proactive and pay attention to details

• Develop content leveraging the latest social media insights to ensure all content is attention grabbing and on trend

• Keep up to date with the latest design tools, e.g. Midjourney, ChatGPT or other AI Art Generator (An advantage but not a must)

• Ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• Student studying Higher Diploma/ Associate Degree / Bachelor from Film/ Creative Media/ Multimedia Design/ Motion Graphics/Animation/Advertising Design or equivalent in local universities/academic institutions

• A creative, passionate, and detail-minded team player with strong sense of responsibility and good communication skills

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Solid experience in using video editing tools and motion graphic tools

• Good experience in producing social media videos with exceptional post-production skills

• Strong knowledge and background in digital/social media are an advantage

• Able to handle multiple tasks with tight schedules and work under pressure

Officer, Branding & Corporate Communications

What you'll do:

• Assist Manager to execute agreed corporate communication strategies and plans to achieve company's objectives and brand propositions

• Assist the team to maintain and gate-keep quality content for corporate and marketing communications collaterals, adhering to corporate identity and branding guidelines 

• Assist to gatekeep and proof-read corporate collateral and monitor the production of quality corporate publications

• Develop and edit the contents for a range of corporate literature, namely newsletter, promotional leaflet, advertorial, opinion article, and social media post, etc

• Prepare daily news clippings report and conduct verbal news reporting and compile reports as required

• Assist Manager to collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather content ideas, stories, and updates to create engaging social media campaigns and initiatives

• Develop and draft social media posts for HKPC social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and WeChat, etc.

• Manage and maintain the HKPC’s social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding, timely responses, and effective community management.

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• Bachelor degree or above from any disciplines, or Diploma with 2 years' relevant experience in editing, corporate communications, translation, digital content creation and social media, etc

• Able to write and edit with speed and accuracy in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, while being capable to create clear, engaging, and informative messages

• An eye for detail to proofread publications and collaterals

• Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
