The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) is the statutory body established under the Property Management Services Ordinance (Cap 626)(PMSO) and is tasked to regulate and promote the development of the property management (PM) industry. Applications are invited for the following position:
Administrative Assistant (6-month contract)
(Ref. No.: PMSA-AA-23/26)
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager / Senior Manager, the appointee will be required to:
Provide secretarial and administrative support for the Division;
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data input, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, formatting, scanning, printing, posting and keeping record of correspondence;
Maintain and update records, and filing systems;
Conduct basic background checks (e.g. Company / Land / Business Registry search), and retrieve records from public databases;
Manage meeting schedule for the Division, and set up logistics for activities and meetings (e.g. physical meeting and video/audio conference);
Assist in preparing documents / presentation materials / reports and compiling statistics; and
Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Grade E or above in at least 5 subjects (including Chinese and English (Syllabus B)) in HKCEE, or Level 2 or above in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Chinese and English), or equivalent
A minimum of 2 year’s working experience is preferred
Experience in governmental/ statutory bodies/ authorities will be an advantage
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing
Good command of both English and Chinese
A proactive and good team player with strong sense of responsibility and high degree of integrity
Good interpersonal, communication and coordination skills
Immediate available is highly preferred
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is offered on a temporary contract. For the successful candidate, future employment may be considered based on performance and organisational needs.
Officer (Complaints and Enforcement) (Ref. No.: PMSA-OCE-26/26)
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager (Complaints and Enforcement), the appointee will be required to:
Handle enquiries, complaints and conduct enforcement inspections properly and timely;
Collect and analyse evidence for disciplinary cases in accordance with the PMSO and other relevant ordinances;
Carry out investigations and gather evidence for alleged disciplinary offences;
Assist in preparing various case reports and statistical reports, etc.;
Prepare for and attend disciplinary/appeal hearings, and court as a witness; and
Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Tertiary education or above in any disciplines;
A minimum of 1 year relevant working experience;
Experience in complaint handling and customer service will be an advantage;
Enforcement experience in government departments, statutory bodies, or authorities will be an advantage;
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing;
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably attained Level 3 or above in HKDSE, or Grade “C” or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in HKCEE, or equivalent);
Good report writing skills; and
A team player with strong sense of responsibility and communication skills.
A three-year employment contract will be offered. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Assistant Manager (Complaints and Enforcement) (6-month contract) (Ref. No.: PMSA-AMCE-25/26)
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager (Complaints and Enforcement), the appointee will be required to:
Handle complaints and conduct investigations relating to suspected disciplinary offences and other offences under the PMSO;
Carry out investigations and gather evidence (including conducting interviews, requesting for information, etc.) for alleged disciplinary offences in accordance with the PMSO and other relevant ordinances;
Prepare various case reports as well as statistical and management-related reports;
Liaise with other law enforcement agencies and refer cases to relevant agencies when required;
Conduct enforcement inspections;
Prepare for and attend disciplinary /appeal hearings and court as a witness; and
Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
A recognised university degree or equivalent qualification;
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in complaint handling, law enforcement, investigation or regulatory field;
Ability to interpret and enforce the relevant laws and requirements;
Experience in regulatory bodies, authorities, public administration or relevant industries will be desirable;
A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and problem solving skills;
Positive, pragmatic and able to work under pressure; and
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
Immediately availability is highly preferred.
