Senior Officer, Product Development (Programme Coordination)

Launched in 2020, the City I&T Grand Challenge is an initiative to tackle problems facing the city and people in their daily lives by inviting innovative ideas from all walks of life. Winning teams are given financial support and training for refining their I&T solutions and developing prototypes for trials. The prototypes developed are exhibited to the public in a large-scale showcase event.  The successful candidate will join the project team and perform the following duties:

The Position:

  • Provide all-rounded programme support including but not limited to coordination of prototyping and trial activities, arrangement of physical and virtual events, and communication with startups

  • Conduct research to identify necessary resources and coordinate regular onsite and offsite meetings/events with account managers, mentors, trainers, and trial organizations 

  • Perform due diligence check for budget proposals and approval documentation for expenses reimbursement

  • Prepare presentation materials and compile analytical status reports

  • Support team members in procurement and handling other administreative duties to facilitate the programme development

  • Handle ad hoc duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Communications, Marketing or related disciplines or equivalent 

  • 3 years of working experience, preferably in product development support, multiple projects coordination, and event management

  • Prior experience in Innovation & Technology industry would be an added advantage.

  • Proactive, attention to details and a good team player

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

  • Fresh graduate will also be considered for junior position.

Associate/Assistant Director, Acceleration

The Position:

  • Formulate and lead the strategy and operations of the HKSTP Acceleration/Co-Acceleration Programmes to drive valuation growth for the startups (pre-A to A stage) portfolio under the programme

  • Act as the Responsible Officer with management responsibilities and duties to supervise SFC Type 4 & 9 regulated activities

  • Engage with potential clients and oversee the application, approval, and admissions processes

  • Collaborate with various internal business units and external ecosystem partners to provide guidance to startup teams in areas such as business development, strategic planning, and fundraising, etc

  • Oversee client progress towards business goals and provide corresponding services and resources to ensure their success on the growth journey, including training and research and development of new programmes and special projects

  • Drive, promote and organize special events and networking programmes for business and community leaders and organizations to strengthen community value 

  • Develop success stories and case studies that showcase the value created for the startups under the HKSTP Acceleration/Co-Acceleration programmes 

  • Formulate, review and update the operations procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and reporting requirements

  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality

  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis

  • Perform other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Science or other related disciplines or equivalent; an advanced degree is preferred

  • 12 years of work experience, preferably gained in MNC, sizable organization and with a background in the startup ecosystem

  • Qualified Responsible Officer for SFC Type 4,9 regulated activities is a must

  • Proven track record of successful investments, with portfolio of companies demonstrating high growth and returns

  • Knowledge of best practices in business incubation, business accelerators, and development principles

  • A good understanding of the investor access processes for seed and growth funding, as well as budget development and management principles

  • Uphold high standards of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public and excellent leadership and communications skills with the ability to lead and team and collaborate effectively with stakeholders

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community and work well in a dynamic and rapidly changing workplace

  • Exhibit passion and excitement for the work

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese including Mandarin

Senior Manager / Manager, InnoPark Development

The Position:

  • Plan and implement new initiatives in InnoPark including identification of business opportunities, revamp of prevailing admission policy and lease terms;

  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with prospective and existing Key Accounts;

  • Process land admission application, lease negotiation, closing land or commercial leasing deals and preparation of legal documents for leases;

  • Administer land and lease associated matters in accordance with defined business model, mandate, prevailing policy and lease conditions to cope with the new initiatives in Innofacturing;

  • Manage improvement or expansion projects in InnoPark and development of new extensions by carrying out studies, planning and implementation;

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Candidate:

  • A bachelor’s degree with professional qualification in Town Planning, Surveying or related disciplines or equivalent;

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in account management, business development and/or project management, preferably gained from property developer, engineering or statutory bodies;

  • Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered;

  • Proactive with excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Familiar with leasing procedures and relevant legal documentation;

  • Familiar with area development planning and land administration policy

  • Conversant with regulations and practices in HK, previous wide exposures to different disciplines including architectural, building services, industrial and laboratory design would be an advantage;

  • Detail-oriented, good analytical mind, strong market sense and ownership;

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese;

  • Candidates with more experience may be considered as Senior Manager, InnoPark Development.
