Assistant Manager / Construction Manager, Programme and Schedule Management (1-Year Contract)
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Governance
Assist the management in overall programming and scheduling of the development and capital works projects of the Hong Kong Science Park
Coordinate with the project team leader to plan and schedule the projects with preliminary development programme, and uphold project management frameworks, standards, and methodologies and ensure project execution is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
Assist in vetting of the programme and schedule submissions prepared by the consultants or contractors
Performance and Risk Management
Drive, monitor, and report on project delivery progress throughout all stages of the project lifecycle
Identify potential risk and perform ongoing risk assessments to apply proactive risk mitigation and contingency plans to maximize project success
Supervise the performance of consultants, resident site staff and contractors
Prepare site report in respect of the progress, quality and safety of the projects
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Act as the internal gatekeeper for programme and schedule management, ensuring timely and effective communication of project status across all internal workstreams and stakeholders
Liaise and coordinate with government departments, utilities companies, and external contractors or stakeholders
Prepare concise project reports, presentations and updates to facilitate alignment and transparency in decision-making
Other Duties
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Degree holder in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline/qualifications
Membership of relevant recognized professional institutions will be an advantage
Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience, Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Constrcution Manager
Experience in project planning will be an advantage
Experience in managing the programme and schedule of large-scale multi-disciplinary projects and A&A works from inception to completion and handover including claims and EOT assessment, etc.
Experience in Schedule Management software such as MS Project, Primavera 6, with a strong knowledge in critical path analysis
Experience in development of R&D offices and institutional buildings will be an advantage
Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for construction project delivery in Hong Kong
Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
Highly driven, structured and proactive, with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

Senior Manager, Startup Programme Management (Acceleration Programme)
The Position:
Provide strategic support to the technology startup programmes including designing and implementing customized strategies, coordinating with mentors and industry partners, and ensuring the smooth programmes execution
Drive the success of our startup programmes by manging relationships with portfolio companies and identifying high-potential investment opportunities
Manage post-investment activities, including portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and preparation of investment reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate and execute deal-closing processes, working closely with legal, finance, and compliance teams to ensure accuracy and timely completion of investment documentation
Liaise with portfolio companies to facilitate follow-up actions, including funding drawdowns, shareholder communications, and governance matters
Conduct financial and business analysis to support ongoing portfolio management decisions, follow-on investment assessments, and exit planning
Support investment team initiatives and perform any other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or other related disciplines or equivalent; a master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) is a plus
10 years work experience, preferably in investment analysis, venture capital, startups, corporates or related fields
Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
Experience with fund operation and compliance is preferred
Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and the challenges faced by early-stage companies
Familiarity with investment processes and portfolio management best practices
Experience in administering programmes and grants from the Government sources is a plus
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough market research and financial analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationship-building with diverse stakeholders
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin
