Systems Development Manager – AVP – Post-Trade Systems – IT – 12months Contract

Responsibilities:

Responsible for system development and project implementation activities including the business requirement analysis, resource management, application development and documentation.
Design and develop systems with modern technologies, eg Cloud.
Collaborate with teams across IT departments in various aspects.
Provide production system support.
Lead and develop a group of s/w developers in HK and China such as Shenzhen.
Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science, IT or related disciplines.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in software development in large scale systems and mission critical in nature.
Minimum 5 years' experience in leading a team of s/w developers.
Solid knowledge in Linux, Database, CI/CD and Cloud technologies.
Strong skills of programming languages: Java, Javascript, SQL and shell programming.
Experience in OpenAPI and application security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API security, etc.) will be an advantage.
Good analytic mind, self-motivated and able to work independently.
Proficiency in SDLC methodology and documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Systems Analyst - Associate - Emerging Systems - IT

Job Duties:

The role involves collaborating with technology partners including vendors to implement new cloud-native applications. As part of solution delivery, you will collaborate with development teams to ensure software solutions meet coding standards and other IT teams on internal integration. You will also work with a team of system designers and analysts who have a deep understanding of capital markets industry use cases and passionate about using technologies to solve industry-specific problems at-scale.

Job Responsibilities:

Support project implementation activities, including technical requirements analysis, solution architecture, system documentation, software deployment and application integration within enterprise environments
Collaborate with other IT teams to deploy cloud applications and integrate them with internal services, and ensuring application meets architecture, security and network requirements
Uphold compliance with organization policies and standards including the development methodology
Conduct system tests and provide operational support to business users during testing phases
Investigate and resolve application design defects and technical issues
Carry out production support and BAU tasks

Job Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent working experience.
1-5 years of cloud application development, implementation or deployment experience, Proficient in programming (e.g. Java, JavaScript or Python)
Knowledge of major public cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei.
Hands-on practical experience deploying applications using cloud technologies, such as compute, containerization, storage, network and database
Good understanding and experience in DevOps / CI/CD practices and tools (e.g. Jira, Git, Jenkins etc.).
Experience of working within a structured project management framework, adopting agile and/or waterfall software delivery principles.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience architecting / developing applications within the financial services or capital markets industry is an advantage.
Experience with frontend development frameworks (e.g. React, Material UI) is an advantage.
