Associate, Accounting Affairs

Job Duties:

  • Perform review of prospectuses of listing applicants from accounting, auditing and financial disclosure perspective, particularly with respect to the review of novel and complex accounting and financial issues

  • Draft documents and correspondences including comment letters and internal reporting documents

  • Provide support for ad hoc or policy development projects assigned by supervisor

  • Provide accounting or other professional support to the work of the Listing Division

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountants with a minimum of 4 years working experience. PRC accounting and auditing experience is an advantage

  • Experience that demonstrates working knowledge of the requirements of HKFRS/IFRS Accounting Standards, and understanding of the Listing Rules including underlying principles and published interpretations

  • Good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is essential

Senior Systems Analyst – Associate – Post-Trade Systems – 12-month Contract

Job Duties:

As Senior Systems Analyst, the incumbent will be responsible for application development and support for critical applications running under IBM mainframe platform. You will have the opportunities to participate in projects for new business initiatives which are developed in existing and/or next generation of post-trade platform.

You have to work closely with different technical teams, vendors and business users for development and production support of post-trade systems. Besides, you may also be required to lead and participate in ad-hoc projects of technology obsolescence on behalf of Post-Trade Application Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform business requirement analysis, resource estimation, system design, application development, testing, system rollout and documentation

  • Prepare the system documentation, including Functional and Technical Specifications, Test Plans for various kinds of testing, and user & operation manuals.

  • Design and develop systems with mainframe and integrate with other modern technologies or platforms

  • Conduct quality assurance review on system design and project deliverables

  • Collaborate with other IT teams, business users and vendors on testing and support activities during the project development

  • Adhere to IT and organization policies and standards for fulfillment of compliance requirements

  • Coach and supervise developers

  • Provide production support and resolve production incidents

  • Undertake assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines

  • Minimum 7 years’ system development and support experiences

  • Solid development experience in z/OS, DB2, COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve Plus, JCL, CA-7 and MQ

  • Proficiency in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology

  • Familiar with both waterfall and agile methodologies

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and people management skills

  • Experience in financial services industry or regulatory bodies is an added value

  • Knowledge with JIRA and Confluence is an advantage

  • Self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure

  • Candidate with less experience may be considered as Systems Analyst

Assistant Vice President (Team Manager), IPO Vetting, Listing

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the role of a team manager in processing IPO applications and monitor progress of a portfolio of listing applications

  • Draft comment letters and Department reports to Listing Committee

  • Assist in handling pre-IPO enquiries and IPO related policies matters

  • Provide support for ad hoc projects as assigned by supervisor

  • Provide accounting, legal or other professional support to the work of the Listing Division

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyers/accountants with a minimum of 7 years working experience or university graduates of other relevant disciplines with at least 7 years working experience in law, accounting, corporate finance, investment banking or a related field

  • Good experience that demonstrates knowledge of the Listing Rules and knowledge of the securities industry and its practices including securities laws and accounting practices

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Putonghua fluency is an advantage
