Lecturer/ Assistant Lecturer, Department of Design (Ref.: 25/99/DES/ACAD)

Duties:

  • The appointee will be responsible for teaching at the sub-degree levels in related areas.

  • The appointee will coordinate and develop study programmes in close cooperation with academic staff.

  • The appointee will take up academic and administrative duties such as maintenance of quality academic standards, liaison with the professional bodies and other educational institutions concerning the study programmes offered, act as student advisor and supervisor to groups as well as individual students, activate inter-departmental and inter-institutional collaboration and networking, allocation/requisition of resource and collection of students' feedback/suggestions on the study programmes, etc.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should (i) an earned and recognised Master's degree in relevant disciplines; (ii) relevant teaching / professional experience; and a good command of English and Chinese is required.

Preference will be given to those with teaching experience in degree programmes / proven research record. Professional registration in Hong Kong or overseas is required as appropriate for the particular profession.

Administrative Officer (SEN), Student Affairs Office (Ref.: 25/109/SAO/AO)

Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for (a) assisting in the administration and implementation of various student development programs and workshops; (b) provide tutorial assistance to SEN students; (c) events and conferences organization; (d) student life crisis management and special referral; (e) self-understanding, self-esteem building and life adjustment workshops; and (f) other duties as assigned.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should (a) have a recognized degree in Communication, Marketing or Social Science or a related field; (b) have at least 3 years of relevant experience in event management for NGO or Education setting in Hong Kong; (c) knowledge in SEN services; (d) experience in social media management; (e) mature and pleasant personality with good team spirit, communication skills and interpersonal relationship; (f) and able to work independently, efficiently and responsibly; (g) good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).

Assistant Manager, Registry (Ref.: 25/104/REG/AM)

Duties:

The appointee is responsible for (a) managing the administrative arrangements relating to student admission, registration, enrolment, timetabling, assessment, graduation as well as record keeping of students and academic staff members of both Institutions; (b) managing the implementation of the administrative quality assurance process in the registrarial services; and (c) contributing to the development, implementation and improvement of the management support system; (d) contributing in the overall production of Registry-related publications; and (e) improving the above functions by using the technologies.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should (a) possess a recognized degree with at least 5 years' post-qualification administrative experience (experience in the Registry related discipline will be given preference); (b) proficiency in MS Office programs; (c) outstanding communication skills with excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and (d) proven ability to work independently with effective teamwork skills, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
