Part-Time Administrative Officer (Innovative Incubation Centre), Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management (Ref.: 25/68/BHM/AO)
Duties
The appointee will be responsible for:
Coordinating and managing entrepreneurial funding programmes, competitions, and events.
Providing administrative support for incubation projects, including project documentation, progress tracking, and reporting.
Organising and coordinating entrepreneurial training, workshops, and other learning activities for students and alumni.
Collaborating with academic staff and stakeholders to promote entrepreneurship initiatives within and beyond SFU.
Offering secretarial and promotional support for IIC operations, including PR materials, reports, and new initiatives.
Building and maintaining relationships with external organisations and industry partners to support networking and project execution.
Assisting in the execution of IIC's objectives as directed by the Director or assigned delegates.
Appointment Criteria
Applicants should have:
A recognised Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related discipline.
At least three years of relevant post-qualification experience in project management, start-up support, or entrepreneurship development.
Strong knowledge of the start-up ecosystem, including funding mechanisms, incubation/ acceleration programmes, and industry trends.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Flexibility to work under tight schedules and manage multiple priorities.
Career Services Officer, Career Centre (Ref.: 25/93/CC/PO)
Duties
Developing and implementing career-development programmes and initiatives, such as alumni career network, employer information sessions etc;
Conducting career training sessions to support students in acquiring and enhancing essential career skills, such as job search strategies, networking, and professionalism;
Providing career coaching to students, including career assessment, job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and networking skills development;
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of employer information and promote SFU students to employers, job postings, and applying records to produce reports related to career services;
Collaborating with faculty and academic departments to integrate career development into the curriculum and provide career-related resources to students; and
Performing other duties as assigned.
Appointment Criteria
Applicants should have a recognised bachelor's degree or above;
Minimum of 3 years of experience in related fields such as tertiary education, career services, human resources and services in commercial sector;
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
Knowledge of career development theories, job search strategies, and employment trends;
Excellent skills in Excel and reports generating would be a huge advantage;
Ability to conduct career training sessions for students; and
Immediate availability would be an advantage.
Administrative Officer, Institutional Advancement Office (Ref.: 25/92/IAO/AO)
Duties
The appointee will be responsible for (i) assisting project development administration and institutional advancement tasks; (ii) providing donation services and stewardship for donors; (iii) managing relations with existing donors and identifying potential donors to build rapport with them; (iv) creating visually appealing and persuasive fundraising materials including but not limited to PowerPoint presentation, donation leaflet, and donation proposals; (v) implementing fundraising initiatives and organizing donor care events and outreach activities; (vi) maintaining and updating donation website; (vii) managing donor database and generating fundraising reports with meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making; (viii) supporting to donation administration; (ix) and engaging in other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Appointment Criteria
Applicants should (i) have a recognised Bachelor's degree; (ii) have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese with a presentable character; (iii) have strong computer skills in graphic presentation and database management; (iv) have excellent project management skill with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively; and (v) be capability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision; (vi) be a good team player.
*Candidates with more experience will be considered as Assistant Manager/ Associate Manager.
Applicants should (a) demonstrate maturity and resilience, be attentive to details, able to meet multiple deadlines with good communication and problem-solving skills; (b) be a degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Experience in supporting executives will be an advantage; (c) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), social media and website management; and (d) good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Assistant Library Officer, Library (Ref.: 25/82/LIB/ALO)
Duties
The appointee will be required to (1) discharge operational duties in relation to circulation, information enquiry, shelving, collection and facilities maintenance; (2) assist in managing course readings; (3) provide technical and clerical support and collate statistical data on the circulation of library materials; (4) offer assistance to library patrons in the use of services and facilities; (5) help with the supervision of part-time Library Assistants; (6) work at service counters on a shift basis, including evenings and weekends; and (7) undertake other duties as assigned by the Librarian or his/ her delegates.
Appointment Criteria
Applicants should have (1) a recognized Degree or Higher Diploma, preferably in library information management related disciplines; (2) a familiarity with the academic library systems and discovery services; (3) experience in providing circulation and information services in an academic library setting; (4) a reasonably high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and (5) an ability to work independently and/ or within a team and to perform duties in a self-motivated, collegial and responsible manner.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, but preference will be given to applicants who are conversant with academic library operations. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Public Affairs Officer (Media and Public Relations), Public Affairs Office (Ref.: 25/76/PAO/PR)
Duties
Draft and manage communication collaterals including press releases, social media posts, fact sheets, and presentation materials;
Maintain and manage official websites through coordination with internal stakeholders;
Draft and create content on the university's social media platforms; and
Perform other duties as assigned.
Appointment Criteria
Recognised bachelor's degree in media, public relations, or related disciplines;
Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in public relations, corporate communication or digital marketing;
Experience in web management is highly advantageous;
Working knowledge of website management tools, SEO, HTML/CSS, XML, Office 365; knowledge of Javascript is preferred but not necessary;
Able to work independently and cope with pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment;
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
Immediate availability would be an advantage.
