Administrative Officer, Research Office (Ref.: 25/151/RO/AO)

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for (i) providing administrative support for: the organisation of research-related activities such as workshops and sharing sessions; (ii) promotion of research achievements via website and social media; (iii) co-ordinating and providing support to the organisation of Committee meetings; (iv) liaising with internal Schools/ Departments and external funding agencies in the conduct of the above-mentioned duties; (v) maintaining research databases and generating detailed reports on research activities and funding; (vi) supports financial administration by processing travel and expense claims; (vii) undertaking such other duties as assigned by the Director of the Research Office.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should have (i) an earned and recognised Bachelor's degree; (ii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (iii) previous relevant experience will be an advantage; (iv) proficiency in computer applications and Microsoft Office; (v) good organizational and communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who are immediately available.

Administrative Officer (Special Educational Needs), Student Affairs Office (Ref.: 25/145/SAO/AO/SEN)

Duties

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement inclusive campus activities and programs;

  • Deliver targeted skill-building training and workshops for SEN students;

  • Coordinate and facilitate university-wide support services for students with diverse learning needs;

  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to SEN support services and program effectiveness;

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and maintain accurate records; and

  • Perform additional duties as required to support the Office's objectives.

Appointment Criteria

  • A recognized bachelor's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or related disciplines is preferred;

  • Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in SEN services or related field;

  • Demonstrated maturity with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities;

  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities;

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple responsibilities effectively; and

  • High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Administrative Officer (Scholarship Program), Student Affairs Office (Ref.: 25/143/SAO/AO)

Duties

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote scholarship opportunities to the student body;

  • Collaborate with academic departments to identify and nominate qualified candidates;

  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of scholarship recipients;

  • Liaise with the University Advancement Office to align scholarship administration with donor expectations and agreements;

  • Coordinate all aspects of the scholarship selection process, including panel interviews;

  • Plan and execute the annual Scholarship Thanksgiving Reception for donors and recipients; and

  • Organize selection panels and preparatory training for students entering external scholarship competitions.

Appointment Criteria

A good honours degree, with relevant working experience preferably in higher education or community services. Possession of postgraduate qualification would be an advantage. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), working knowledge of computer applications, dynamic personality and tactful communication with different sectors of personnel are required.

Senior Laboratory Assistant, Yam Pak Charitable Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences (Ref.: 25/141/CIS/SLA)

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for (a) overseeing and coordinating the operations of the CIS laboratory; (b) preparing quotations for research equipment; (c) purchasing Arduino equipment; (d) site-visit for led wall equipment; (e) performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean or his delegates.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should have (a) a recognised degree, preferably in Electronic and Information Engineering; (b) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (c) proficiency in computer applications; and (d) good analytical, organizing and communication skills.

Assistant Administrative Officer, Office of the President (Ref.: 25/132/OP/AAO)

Duties:

  • Assist in handling confidential and sensitive matters with care and professionalism under supervision;

  • Support the communication process by helping to share information with internal teams and external contacts;

  • Manage basic correspondences, including emails, letters, and phone calls with proper manner;

  • Help maintain administrative records and databases, including scheduling and filing tasks;

  • Provide logistical support for meetings, events, and special projects, including preparation and onsite assistance; and

  • Carry out other administrative duties as assigned by supervisors or the senior management.

Appointment Criteria:

  • Degree qualification or equivalent;

  • At least 2 years of relevant workplace experience;

  • Detailed oriented, proactive, excellent communication skills;

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines;

  • Good attitude with can-do mindset and willing to take up responsibilities;

  • Competent in MS Office, social media platform and website management; and

  • Good communication skills with fluent English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
