Programme Manager in the College of Life Sciences and Technology [RF: 2020/21-FT-110-JDB]
Monthly Salary Range: HKD39,970 – 66,385
Duties: The scope of duties includes teaching of full-time and part-time engineering programmes, development and planning of new engineering programmes, monitoring and review of existing engineering programmes, and setup of promotional strategies.
Requirements: Candidates should at least possess a Master degree and 3 years relevant experience in the area of engineering. They should have capability to manage resources effectively, strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Experience in programme management and validation will be a definite advantage.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Programme Manager in English Language in the College of Humanities and Law RF: 2024/25-FT-187-JDB]
Duties: HKU SPACE is expanding its provision of English language teaching for Putonghua speakers, and the appointee will play a leading role in developing, promoting and managing these programmes. Prior experience of teaching and/or managing English language programmes in the Greater Bay Area will be a strong advantage, and the appointee will be expected to display a strong understanding of the needs of adult learners in this target group.

New ideas are welcome and this position offers the right candidate an exciting opportunity to shape HKU SPACE’s delivery of a wide range of programmes for Putonghua speakers, from general and business English to corporate training. In addition to a strong focus on enrolment-related activities, duties include programme design and development, day-to-day administration, supervision of teaching staff and co-ordination with students and teachers.
Requirements: Candidates should have a Master’s degree in an English-related discipline with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience. Candidates should demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial streak and ability to promote HKU SPACE as the preferred destination for English language education in the GBA. They should have excellent proficiency in English and Putonghua, good communication and interpersonal skills and strong commitment to excellence. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of using GenAI in English language teaching.

Monthly/Hour Salary:
HKD13,485 / HKD80 (Temporary Clerical Assistant I)

Duties:
The appointees will provide clerical support, including English and Chinese word processing, filing, data input and answering general enquiries.
The contract period will be from 1 month to 1 year, depending on operational needs.
Part-time posts are also available.
Requirements:
(i) Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or equivalent; or (ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua as well as proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing.
Immediate availability will be an advantage.
Executive Assistants II for various units[RF: EAII_VariousUnits]
Duties: The appointees will perform course/general administration and office duties, including counter services, general/telephone enquiries, English and Chinese word processing, data input, liaison with internal and external parties, admission, timetabling, course selection, examinations, maintenance of student/staff records and filing. Overtime work may be required.
Requirements: (a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or equivalent; or (ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent. An Associate Degree or Higher Diploma and experience in the tertiary education institution will be an advantage. Good written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua) with strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing, energetic, ability to work independently and willingness to take up responsibilities are essential.
