Senior Executive, Business Development, MICE (2-year Renewable Contract)

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?
Support the Senior Manager to plan, develop and implement the business development plans for generating incremental MICE arrivals from the designated segments
Assist in the process of formulating and implementing outreaching programs, trade shows and study missions, with the objective of generating quality business leads and showcasing Hong Kong’s core strengths as a premier MICE destination
Support in the bid of potential MICE events to Hong Kong by sourcing venue, recommending activities and soliciting proposals
Provide effective administrative services on all reporting, performance tracking and statistic to help achieving sustainable growth in MICE arrivals and maximizing business generaton
Work closely with Worldwide offices in sourcing markets to develop bidding strategies and packages targeting mega association conferences and conventions
Maintain and enhance communication channels with travel industry partners and major stakeholders
Undertake any other duties and assignments as directed by the Senior Manager, Business Development
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
A minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, Hotel or Hospitality.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the travel, servicing or marketing industry, or National Tourist Office, or Convention & Visitor Bureau.
Experienced in handling association and B2B conferences and exhibition is highly preferred
High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is an must.
High literacy in Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Strong interpersonal skill, self-motivated and proactive
Mature and able to work independently
Senior Executive, Event & Product Development

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?
Assist in in developing and managing programmes as new initiatives of HKTB’s mega events
Source, identify, engage and monitor service contractors for smooth operations of the mega events in accordance with the organisation's policy
Contribute to design operation plan and ensure strict adherence to the work schedule and proper delivery and implementation of events
Coordinate and maintain communication with government departments, related authorities and venue owners for solicitation of comments and support for planning and execution of HKTB events and campaigns
Assist in applying and coordinating all necessary licenses and permits for staging the event and ensure its compliance with all applicable HK laws and regulations
Support in developing operation plans and administer all related process and logistics for staging the agreed event components in accordance with corporate policy
Gather market information and conduct background research to facilitate effective event planning
Build, categorise and maintain a systematic database of contractor for future event development
Perform clerical duties, handle office procurement and administer documentation
Undertake any other duties/ special assignments as directed by the supervisor
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
University graduate preferably in Event Management / Marketing or relevant disciplines
With 3 years or above solid experience in event marketing, organising and managing events, carnivals and/or promotional campaigns; experience in outdoor/ mass participation events will be an advantage
A proactive, responsible and self-disciplined team player who is capable of handling unexpected changes/ situations in outdoor event preparation and staging
Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
Able to deliver quality work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Attention to details and follow strict guideline when dealing with company’s procurement and legal process
Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Executive

Responsible for daily finance operation, month-end & year-end closing and preparation of management reports for responsible Head Office Departments & Worldwide Offices
Support procurement process, including but not limited to purchase order and vendor vetting to ensure they are in compliance with the HKTB financial policies and procedures
Support external and internal auditors for year-end audit and other financial reporting compliance
Assist Manager / Senior Manager on planning and budgeting functions and coordinating with various Head Office Departments & Worldwide Offices
Liaise and coordinate with Head Office Departments & Worldwide Offices to provide support and resolve issues on accounting and compliance matters
Support process and system enhancement to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency, and to enhance effective internal control and compliance
Undertake any other duties / ad hoc assignments
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
University degree holder preferably in Accounting or Finance or related disciplines
Professional qualification of HKICPA or other international professional accounting bodies is a plus
Preferably with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant accounting experience
Experience in working in subvented bodies and related audit experience would be an advantage
Exposure in multinational/regional head office finance operations
A team player with good coordination and interpersonal skills, self-initiated
Highly self-initiatives, strong business sense, analytical mind and problem-solving skills
Attention to details, strong sense of responsibility and able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
High proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications
Experience in Oracle NetSuite would be an advantage
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
Candidates with less experience and/or holding tertiary qualifications will be considered as Executive

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?
Assist the supervisor(s) to provide strategic input to implement major marketing and advertising campaigns. Support in formulating branded marketing strategy and plan on new product & experience launches, mega event promotions and experiences.
Coordinate and monitor the advertising and media agencies to deliver quality creative and production, effective communication, and media plans, to ensure campaign excellence in rolling out to market launch.
Assist in controlling the quality of brand marketing related deliverables and activities and ensure that they are well implemented, in accordance with the agreed brand strategy and guidelines.
Coordinate with the appointed suppliers on the planning and production of various marketing communication materials for mega events promotions and new product launches throughout the campaign development process.
Maintain an effective communication process between advertising and media agencies and overseas offices to ensure optimal efficiency, creativity and flexibility.
Assist in exploring new initiatives/ cooperative platform and supervise the implementation of global/ regional marketing and brand building campaigns.
Support and comply with company procurement and legal procedures.
Undertake any other duties/ special assignments as assigned.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
University degree holder preferably in Marketing or related disciplines.
Preferably with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing communications, consumer marketing and/ or advertising agency field.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work smoothly with internal and external partners.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team.
Ability to think creatively and work to strict deadlines.
Able to work independently, highly resourceful and maintains grace under pressure.
Experience in destination or tourism-related marketing is a distinct advantage.
Excellent written and presentation skills; in both English and Chinese.
Fluent in Cantonese, English and Putonghua.
