Assistant Accounting Officer / Accounting Assistant

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Independently complete monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all related reports

  • Accurately process and record incoming invoices in accordance with company policies and accounting standards

  • Ensure timely payment of invoices, adhering to internal deadlines and vendor terms

  • Perform regular reconciliation of current accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy

  • Administer data records in the Accounting System

  • Any ad hoc tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • LCC intermediate qualification or diploma holder in Accounting or related disciplines

  • Preferably with 2 years of accounting experience in AP Focus

  • Fresh graduate with general accounting knowledge will also be considered as Accounting Assistant

  • Strong team player and can work independently with attention to details

  • Proactive with commitment and sense of responsibility

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel

  • Immediate availability is highly preferred

Human Resources Specialist

Key Accountabilities:

  • Acts as strategic HR business partner to ensure smooth operations of end-to-end HR processes, in the functional areas of talent acquisition, rewards, employee engagement and general HR administrative service for AHK aircrew and ground staff.

  • Provides support to the full employment cycle of AHK employees day-to-day administrative support on HR functions and internal customers’ requests in a timely and effective manner.

  • Supports recruitment and implement diverse sourcing strategies to attract and identify suitable candidates.

  • Supports the effective administration of payroll, pension and taxation matters in the appropriate jurisdictions.

  • Works in collaboration with team-mates on coordinating staff events and initiatives to promote employee engagement.

  • Works closely with the HR system vendors and internal IT department to support system maintenance and enhancements due to changes of operational needs or regulatory requirements.

  • Supports the preparation of HR analytics and reports for management review, strategic planning and group reporting purposes.

  • Keeps abreast of changes in the business and regulatory environment and be equipped of updated skills and knowledge in the industry and the HR field.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and safekeeping of confidential employee records and sensitive personal data throughout the employment cycle in strict compliance with the regulatory and Company standards.

  • Reviews policies, practices and procedures to ensure proper documentation in place, statutory/contractual compliance and transparency to the various employee groups.

  • Provides timely and professional support to various business units, identify and contributes to the continuous improvement of our efficiency and internal customer services standards.

  • Provides effective coaching and support for team-mates and instills a positive learning culture.

  • Deputize the Assistant Human Resources Manager in carrying out various functions as and when required.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • A University graduate, preferably majoring in Human Resources or related disciplines.

  • 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience as HR generalist and/or HR advisory, business partnering, preferably in a multicultural environment.

  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written.

  • Well-versed in the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, preferably with knowledge of other ordinances under the Hong Kong legislative framework in the areas of employment compensation, personal data protection and anti-discrimination.

  • Possesses strong skills to manage people’s matters with tact and diplomacy.

  • Ability to work with an eye for detail as well as the competency of systems thinking.

  • Ability to evaluate and determine the best solution to make necessary enhancements.

  • Strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills.

  • High standard of computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office, desirably with interests and knowledge on HR related digital systems and tools.

  • Self-driven with commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

  • A good team player, proactive and possesses the initiative in embracing the role to contribute in meeting the team goals.

  • Can-do spirit with an open mind in embracing changes.
