Director - Engineering Division
Responsibilities:
Reporting to General Manager, the appointee oversees the operations and management of the departments under Engineering Division for providing maintenance, repair and engineering services to maintain the Company fleet in good operational condition and comply with applicable laws and regulations;
Responsible for resources planning and management of the division in support of the achievement of the Company’s goals and objectives;
Planning and controlling the budget for the Division;
Monitor and control the expenses within the Division;
Initiating and reviewing policies, strategies and procedures relating to the division to ensure their suitability and effectiveness, complying with statutory and regulatory requirements and coping with the continual development of the Company;
Ensuring that statutory and classification surveys for Company ships are carried out satisfactorily;
Implementation and reviewing the effectiveness of the Safety Management Systems in the Division for complying with the requirements of ISM Code and Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance;
Responsible for shipyard operations and comply the F&IU regulations;
Business planning and development for shipyards including Yacht repair and maintenance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has strong management, leadership and operational skills;
Minimum of 15 years of management experience with 8 years in senior capacity in maritime engineering related industry or shipyard management;
Extensive shipboard operation and engineering knowledge in high-speed craft preferably;
Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines an added advantage;
Possessing relevant professional qualifications are added advantages;
Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
