Project Assistant II
C.W. Chu College
Founded in 2007 and named after Dr. Chu Ching-wen (1906–1996), C.W. Chu College is a small residential college of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a student population of about 300. Through its general education programmes, mentorship schemes, service-learning programmes, exchange opportunities and many different cultural and social activities for students, the College aims to nurture graduates who embody the values that the late Dr. Chu exemplified, and which are encapsulated in the College motto Cultus et Beneficentia: leadership, service, intellectual clarity and ethical conduct. The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing clerical support in the promotion and implementation of different student activities and programmes; (b) offering logistical and on-site support to the College’s activities, events and communal dining; (c) providing clerical support on the College’s admissions, scholarships, financial aid, exchange matters, and GE programmes; (d) updating student data and record periodically; (e) managing payments and bookkeeping for fee billing matters; (f) performing general clerical duties, including handling mails, filing, and answering telephone and counter enquiries; and (g) performing other tasks as assigned. Working irregular hours will be required occasionally.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate English and Chinese word-processing skill; (iv) a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting discipline; (v) at least 2 years’ work experience, preferably at tertiary institutions; (vi) proficiency in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint); (vii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (viii) good interpersonal skills; (ix) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and (x) the ability to work independently. Prior experience in student activity and event co-ordination will be advantageous.

General Clerk II
Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology
The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing administrative and operational support to academic programmes; (b) providing support to events and academic activities; (c) handling payments, purchases and inventory management; (d) providing frontline services and daily office operational support; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned. Working beyond normal office hours or at weekends will be required.

Junior Research Assistant - (260000LM)
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Science or related disciplines from a recognised university; (ii) at least one year’s relevant post-qualification work experience; (iii) a supportive and self-motivated work attitude; (iv) a strong sense of responsibility; (v) the ability to work independently; and (vi) good communication and interpersonal skills.
The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) providing technical support to the operation of the departmental laboratory, and the laboratory of individual principal investigators of the department; (b) maintaining and purchasing laboratory equipment and supplies; (c) keeping laboratory and inventory records; (d) liaising with internal and external parties to ensure compliance with applicable regulations; (e) supporting training, educational, research and academic activities of the Department and its research centres; and (f) performing any other duties as assigned. Working beyond normal office hours or during weekends will be required.
