Requirements:
PhD in Chinese Literature, Chinese history or a related field;
Specialty in Classical Poetry Studies, History and Culture of Great Bay Area and Creative Writing;
Capacity in research across Chinese Literature, Chinese History, Comparative Culture and Creative Writing;
Capacity to teach in English;
Capacity to teach in the following fields:
a. Chinese Literature
b. Chinese History
c. Chinese Philosophy
d. Creative Writing
Preference will be given to those with experience in editing for the fields of Chinese history and literature.

Capacity in research across Chinese Religious History, Material Culture and Heritage History, and Hong Kong History;

Preference will be given to those with experience in editing for the fields of Chinese history and literature.
Assistant Professor (中國歷史)
Requirements:
PhD in Chinese history or a related field;
Specialty in Tang-Song Dynasty Histories, Modern Chinese History, History and Culture of South China, and Intellectual History;
Capacity in research across Chinese Pre-modern History, Modern Chinese History and Intellectual History;
Capacity to teach in English;
Capacity to teach in the following fields:
a. Chinese History
b. Chinese Literature
c. Chinese Philosophy
Preference will be given to those with experience in editing for the fields of Chinese history and literature.
Research Services Section, Academic Services Office
Description
The appointee will assume the duties to support the College in formulating and implementing College-level research related policies, regulations and guidelines for the purposes of cultivating research culture, facilitating research activities and research funding applications, and monitoring research activities and projects funded by both internal and external sources. The appointee is expected to take a proactive role in putting forward and lead the implementation of action plans for consistent development of a viable research environment to enhance research quality and performance of the College.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, coordinating and facilitating external research funding application, internal assessment and submission
Monitoring and management for externally funded projects and internally funded research related activities
Preparing and managing the research budget to support College-wide research policies and strategies
Supporting the development and implementation of internal research policies, procedures and guidelines
Serving as the Secretary to the college-level related Committee(s) and Panel(s)
Providing administrative support for overseeing College research units
Managing documentation and records on research and scholarly activities, including coordinating the development of institutional research repository and grant management system
Promoting research culture and facilitating dissemination of research information and deliverables
Requirements:
Possess a Master’s degree or above in any discipline;
Have at least 5 years’ relevant experience. Solid experience in supporting government grant application and grant monitoring is essential while experience in tertiary education section or academic research will be an advantage;
Have a high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
Have good organization and time management skills, a strong sense of responsibility, attention to details, and the ability to work independently.
Internal Auditor
Key Responsibilities
Audit Leadership:
Plan and execute risk-based internal audits (financial, operational, compliance).
Present and prepare audit reports in Chinese
Risk Management:
Identify and assess key risks, recommending actionable improvements.
Monitor emerging risks (e.g., regulatory changes, fraud risks).
Stakeholder Engagement:
Present findings to senior management and the audit committee.
Collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure adherence to the College’s policy and other frameworks.
Review policies and procedures for gaps or inefficiencies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent is preferred;
5+ years in internal audit/risk management role or relevant disciplines, candidates with less experience will also be considered;
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese; fluent in Mandarin is required;
Candidates with Mainland China background (preferred).
Associate College Secretary
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Secretary for secretarial work and manage administrative work for Board of Governors (BoG) and its University Development Committee, College Council, and administer relevant specific projects as needed
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Assist in development and review of the College’s Strategic Plan; Oversee the organization of annual planning retreat
Check the draft annual report and plan documents of academic support and administrative units submitted to Senior Management Team (SMT) and BoG
Check the draft KPI data report and analyses submitted to SMT and BoG
Prepare the operational plans of academic support and administrative units if required
Manage centralized registers including regulatory document register, Forms Register
Organise occasional ceremonies and events
Ensure updating for the related College webpages
Perform staff supervision
Other duties as assigned if needed
Skills and Qualifications:
Requirement of Education: A Master’s degree or above
Expected working experience (year): 7 years
Professional Skill (if any): Chartered Secretary or Chartered Governance Professional
Personal Skill: Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, meticulous
