Community Relations Officer (Reference Number: S_CRO_185)

Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Advancement, the Community Relations Officer plays a key role to strengthen CAIS’ relationship with its alumni and local community, and to support the marketing and fundraising events of the School, with responsibilities listed below.

  • Develop creative and effective strategies to increase school brand awareness in the local and global community

  • Strengthen relationship with key stakeholders within the greater community, including educational institutions, local businesses, relocation agencies, corporate human resource departments, consulates, and other organizations that will benefit the school community

  • Develop, coordinate and evaluate programs to promote alumni relations and engagement

  • Assist in overall planning and implementation of school marketing and fundraising campaigns and events

  • Carry out any other job duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and Advancement

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, or related discipline

  • Minimum 2 years’ solid experience in communications and event management, preferably in education and NGO field

  • Proven track record in developing, planning, and implementing marketing campaigns and events

  • Excellent command of both English and Chinese

  • Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work with people from a broad range of background internally and externally

  • Well organized and result-oriented

  • Ability to work independently and able to maintain confidentiality

  • Proficient in MS Office and knowledge in Adobe suite

  • A professional who believes in the mission of the school

AV Technical Officer (Ref. No.: S_AVTO_205)

Reporting to the Deputy Head of School / Senior AV Officer, the AV Technical Officer has a vital role in supporting the AV department with a primary focus on the AV facilities in the school. The AVTO provides flexible support for all external events as well as appropriate support for internal school events, with responsibilities that include the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management and Maintenance

  • Assist the Senior AV Officer in maintaining an accurate register of resources and equipment, including a maintenance and replacement schedule.

  • Maintain storage facilities and AV equipment to ensure that they are clean, functional, and sorted according to the Senior AV Officer.

  • Troubleshoot issues with AV equipment and provide just-in-time support where needed.

External Event Support

  • Provide AV support for events from external hirers (this includes evenings, weekends, and non-school days). 

  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions for clients that may have ad-hoc requests that may not have been specified in their initial booking form.

  • Provide training and support for weekly church services on campus. 

Internal Event Support

  • Provide AV support for school events such as chapels/assemblies, carnival, camp, concerts, etc. This includes ad-hoc events that may require hours outside of normal reporting times.

  • Set up and pack up AV equipment needed for school events (may require extra hours).

  • Provide additional technical support to the Senior AV Officer when required.

Media Development 

  • Film and edit videos for different parties (Admissions and Advancement, Senior Leadership Team, Human Resources).

  • Develop media for digital signage.

Community & School Development 

  • Be actively involved in the corporate life of the school and contribute to building community.

  • Promote and adhere to the values and Christian ethos of the school.

  • Support the day-to-day running of the school.

  • Fulfil ad hoc tasks from time to time as directed by the Deputy Head of School / Senior AV Officer.

Working Hours

Fixed hours during the school week and flexible hours over the weekend according to duties.  Availability on weekends is required, as well as some evenings.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma qualification or above in related discipline

  • Experience in digital lighting & digital audio management, production / event management & support, and leading & training technical teams

  • Experience in large event management (e.g. concert or theatre production) preferred

  • Experience in using ProTools for recording and audio production preferred

  • Strong analytical skill, good interpersonal and communication skills; being attentive to details, proactive and self-initiative

  • Willing to learn new technologies and solutions

  • Good command of both spoken and written English is essential. 

  • Effective communication skills in Chinese would be an advantage.

Senior Fundraising and Event Officer (Reference Number: S_SFEO_166)

Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Advancement, the Senior Fundraising & Event Officer plays a key role in building a culture of philanthropy in the school and supporting the school to achieve its annual fundraising targets, with responsibilities listed below.

Job duties:

  • Assist in developing a strategic and holistic structure for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors (Major Gifts and Annual Funds) to support the mission of the school

  • Strengthen relationships with existing donors through various opportunities (in-person visit, timely communications, cultivation events, etc)

  • Identify and engage potential donors and community stakeholders to deepen their ties with the CAIS community

  • Maintain and develop fundraising initiatives to grow a culture of philanthropy in the school

  • Manage and enhance the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system in effective and efficient manner; compile analytical reports for management’s review and to assist in formulating future strategic directions

  • Attend and support admissions and advancement events where appropriate and needed

  • Carry out any other job duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and Advancement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years’ solid experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, etc. Hands-on experience in non-profits fundraising is preferred

  • Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work with people from a broad range of background internally and externally

  • Proven track record in developing, planning, and implementing fundraising campaigns

  • Proficiency in Salesforce would be an advantage

  • Excellent command of both English and Chinese with exceptional bilingual writing skills is a must

  • Well organized and result-oriented

  • Ability to work independently and able to maintain confidentiality

  • A professional who believes in the mission of the school

  • Candidates with less experiences may be considered as Fundraising and Event Officer
