Assistant Student Affairs Officer, Office of Student Affairs
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance websites and database systems of the OSA
Prepare system and application testing and report checking
Support the set-up of a new iPortfolio programme for students to review their own learning experience and for faculties to have an overview of students’ overall educational experience
Assist in the administration and implementation of Integrated Learning Programmes (ILP), including programme promotion, course administration, and quality assurance
Assist in data management and data analysis of ILP
Work outside normal office hours when required
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related discipline
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Prior administrative experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector, is an advantage
Proficiency in Python, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and SQL
In-depth knowledge of software applications including Excel, VB
Experience in content management systems
Good analytical and organisational skills
Good team spirit with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
Good command of verbal and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
Able to carry out duties independently and efficiently with minimum supervision
Senior Student Affairs Officer / Student Affairs Officer, Office of Student Affairs
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement career-related services and programmes, as well as experiential learning programmes
Establish and maintain relationships with companies and organisations to facilitate recruitment talks, internships, and career opportunities for students
Coordinate the planning and development of high-quality art and cultural activities for Integrated Learning Programmes (ILP)
Contribute to the planning and development of the ILP and career-related activities
Support the collection of graduate employment data and manage the statistical database of OSA
Occasionally travel to the Mainland or other countries, and work outside normal office hours, including weekends, as necessary
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience in project management, administration, training, database management and/or data analysis
Preferable with work experience in the tertiary education and interest in working with young adults
Sound analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
High level of computer literacy including statistical analysis, social media and website updates
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and self-motivation
The ability to work independently as well as in a team
Excellent command of verbal and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

Assistant Administrative Manager II / Senior Administrative Officer, Office of the President
Responsibilities:
Provide a wide range of administrative support to the Office of the President
Draft letters and messages
Prepare reports, proposals and presentation materials
Maintain and update the website and e-banners
Handle project administration work, such as allocating costs, monitoring the budget, and providing updates on project progress, and managing project extension
Handle various administrative tasks and any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor(s)
Requirements:
A recognized degree plus at least five years’ relevant experience
An excellent command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
Strong sense of responsibility
Knowledge and experience in web design

Access Services Librarian (at the rank of Assistant Manager I/II), Library
Responsibilities:
Assist to plan and implement policies, procedures and management of access services and resources sharing services, as well as management of the physical library premises and facilities
Manage the daily operation of the access services, including managing operating budget, developing and maintaining counter roster, compiling statistics reports, supervising and training staff
Collaborate with the Learning Support team for information literacy and liaison activities
Organize and conduct workshops and seminars
Represent the Library and participate in different committees and task forces both internally and externally
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and University Librarian
Shift duties on evenings, weekends and public holidays will be required
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, particularly in the humanities, business or social sciences
Recognized professional qualifications in Librarianship (MLS or equivalent)
At least three years of relevant post-qualification working experience in libraries, preferably in academic libraries
Proven ability to deal with the public, manage staff and organize complex projects
A good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
Ability to work independently and in teams
Candidates with a solid background in Access Services, Reference or Learning Support will be an added advantage

Assistant Library Officer (Research Support & Archives), Library
Responsibilities:
Support the provision and implementation of a suite of services to support activities arisen throughout the research lifecycle, including but not limited to research consultation, open access, researcher identity management, research impact and analytics
Assist to manage University’s Research Information Management System (RIMS) and Digital publishing platform
Assist to design and develop graphical or multi-media materials to support training events, webpage development or other public showcases
Perform counter and shift duties on regular basis, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements:
A recognized university degree or above
Good knowledge of metadata handling, data analytics & visualization
Graphical design ability with knowledge of software (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign)
Knowledge with web development technology (e.g. Drupal, PHP, MySQL, XML/XSLT, API) or Power Platform Technologies (e.g. Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI, Dataverse) will be an advantage
Attentive to details
Good command of both written and verbal English and Chinese
Ability to work in teams and independently with good communication and interpersonal skills
Working experience in an academic library setting will be an advantage
