Facility Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations, maintenance, administration, and repairs of KT & ST House.

  • Lead the Facility Team to carry out routine and preventive maintenance; manage outsourcing service (eg cleaning, security, shuttle bus, gardener) and property maintenance/ services contractors

  • In-charge and be familiarized with all systems in the Houses, including but not limited to property management system, door lock system, fire system, security system, building management system, elevator, M&E facilities, card and key access system, etc.

  • Manage projects of defect, building repair and maintenance (R&M), alterations, additions and improvements works.

  • Monitor project progress and expenditures to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.

  • Supervise emergency maintenance works and liaise with relevant parties and stakeholders to ensure safety during project implementation.

  • Prepare and control the Department’s annual budget; Oversee budget management (including forecasting, cost control, and procurement of supplies and services).

  • Propose and monitor necessary improvements and modifications to existing electrical and mechanical (E&M) equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with the latest regulations on health, safety, environment, etc.

  • In case of a weather emergency or in case of other problematic situation contact management and remain on duty.

  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by superior.

  • Shift work at weekend and public holidays is needed to meet operation needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate or Facilities Management, Property Management, Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in facility management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Solid experience in crisis management, handling critical and emergency situation.

  • Experience in Residential Care Home and Rehabilitation services is preferrable.

  • Experience and knowledge in EMS, security management, building management or Occupational Health and Safety will be an advantage. 

  • Good knowledge of local regulations and legal compliance on building services, property management and E&M standards.

  • Good people management skills, financial management skills and administration skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong leadership and project management, good team player, and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-pacing environment.

  • Proficient in both English and Chinese, written and verbal. Ability of speaking Mandarin is an advantage.

  • Hands on knowledge of MS Office applications.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend and public holidays when needed according to operations need.
