Hong Kong Cancer Fund, established in 1987, is the largest cancer support organisation, providing FREE information and ground breaking psychosocial support to anyone living with or affected by cancer through our network of cancer support centres. To cope with the increasing unmet needs of cancer patients and care-givers, we are expanding our service and would like to invite dedicated professional to join our dynamic team. Assistant Service Officer (Self-help Group)
Responsibilities:
Provide support service and training for core members of the self-help and support groups to enhance their operation and development;
Coordinate Cancer Patient Peer Support Programme for the self-help and support groups at our support centres;
Support administrative work related to the membership, funding application, budgeting and reports of the self-help and support groups towards the organisation, and
Shift duties are required.
Requirements:
Degree holder, preferably in social work, social science, administration, or related disciplines, and
At least 3 years relevant working experience, experience in administrative work, social services, self-help and support groups and volunteer management would be an advantage.
Service Coordinator
Responsibilities:
Handle inbound and outbound calls, gather the required information to provide clients with the resources and assistance needed;
Assist to develop work plan, implement organisation policies and practices;
Develop supportive relationships with self-help groups and with other local community partners;
Plan, coordinate, evaluate programmes and activities for cancer patients and care-givers;
Prepare presentations and timely reports;
Provide service administration support;
Provide support for appeals, campaigns, events, outdoor activities and other community service;
Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned, and
Shift duties are required.
Requirements:
Degree holder in any disciplines;
Minimum 2 years relevant working experience;
A mature team player good at multi-tasking, able to meet deadlines;
Strong communication and coordination skills;
Experience in social service or NGO is an advantage;
Good written and spoken English and Chinese, knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage, and
Proficiency in Microsoft office and Chinese word processing is a must.
