UOW College Hong Kong (“UOWCHK”) is an approved post-secondary college registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap 320). Being part of the University of Wollongong (UOW) in Australia, our students’ learning experiences are enriched through visits by UOW academics or exchange programmes with UOW and its network universities in Malaysia, Dubai and India.
Our wide range of academic programmes include bachelor’s degrees, UOW top-up degrees, sub-degrees, as well as foundation programmes such as Diploma in General Studies, Diploma of Applied Education, and ERB courses.
With about 1,600 students, the College attaches high importance to student learning experience. Overseas study tours, mentorship programmes, and internships are organized to prepare our students for the real world.
Duties
The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing the operation of the General Office and supervising supporting staff; (b) performing various administrative functions; (c) assisting in programme admission and registration; and (d) performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Applicants must have a good honours degree and 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in computer applications, good interpersonal and organization skills, and strong initiative are required. The appointee should be well-organized, flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will normally be made on fixed-term contract for one year. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental schemes.
Part-time ERB Lecturers, Faculty of Arts and Humanities [Ref.2025/ACAD0017]
Faculty of Arts and Humanities
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at UOW College Hong Kong offers a diverse range of academic programmes, including two bachelor’s degree programmes, four associate degree programmes, and one diploma programme. We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant and intellectually stimulating environment for our students. Our faculty is a hub of intellectual curiosity and critical inquiry, offering a diverse range of programmes that prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. Our graduates are well-prepared for further studies and successful careers, equipped with the knowledge and skills from their respective disciplines.
Our curricula, designed by our experienced academic staff, aim to provide students with essential principles, concepts, and methodologies in their chosen fields of study. Our Faculty boasts a team of highly qualified academic staff from various parts of the world, including Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland, the UK, Japan, Korea, and Canada, creating a rich multinational and multicultural community.
To enhance the learning experience, we offer internationally recognized language assessment tests (PSC for Putonghua, DELE for Spanish, KLAT for Korean, and TCF for French) as well as IELTS preparatory courses. We also facilitate internships, field trips, corporate visits, academic seminars, competitions, and career talks with our long-term partner organizations, along with opportunities for overseas visits and exchanges to promote comprehensive student development.
We are currently recruiting part-time lecturers to support teaching in Employees Retraining Board (ERB) English courses.
Duties
The appointee is expected to deliver various ERB courses at Levels 3 and 4, primarily focused on skill enhancement. This includes preparing course materials, conducting assessments, and providing constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.
Requirements
All applicants must hold a Degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of three years of teaching experience, as well as relevant working experience in one of the following fields:
Business / Vocational English: Applicants should hold a relevant degree^ or a teaching qualification in English Language*; and possess at least three years' (i.e. 36 months) of relevant English language teaching experience.
IELTS (Academic) Preparation: Applicants should hold a relevant degree^ or teaching qualification in English Language*; and possess at least three years' (i.e. 36 months) of relevant English language teaching experience. Possessing a minimum of 36 months of IELTS teaching experience is a must for this IELTS (Academic) Preparation course. Applicants will be required to show relevant proof (e.g. contracts) / a self-declaration for ERB's checking.
^Examples of relevant degree: English Language, English Literature, Linguistics (English), Education (English), English Communication, or equivalent.
*Examples of teaching qualification:
(i) Holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; and
(ii) A Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Education majoring in English; or TEFL or TESL qualification, or attainment in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (English Language), or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic Module) required by the EDB; or equivalent.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The remuneration is determined based on an hourly rate starting from $450, subject to the course level, number of participants, and the instructor’s qualifications.

Deliver engaging and practical lessons aligned with curriculum guidelines.
Prepare teaching materials and assessments.
Support student learning and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in occasional meetings or training sessions as required.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
A relevant academic qualification (Master’s degree or above) in the subject area.
A minimum of two years’ of teaching experience in post-secondary education and/or relevant industry experience;
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Preference will be given to candidates who are available to teach during daytime hours on weekdays.

Engage in scholarly activities and administrative duties at the Faculty and College levels.
If appointed as an assistant professor, the appointee is expected to engage in research in relevant subject areas.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
A good master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline. A PhD or doctoral degree is required for the position of Assistant Professor.
A minimum of two years’ teaching experience in tertiary education and/or relevant industry experience.
Applicants with less work experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Lecturer.
