Position: Project Manager (21-month contract)

Monthly salary: HK$42,000

We are seeking a Project Manager to support our community and parents enrolled in the Jockey Club “Family Embrace” Parent Education Programme. You will work closely with the project team to ensure programme success.

About the role

Reporting to the Project Consultant, the Project Manager is accountable for direct Programme success and quality of project outcomes. You will lead and coordinate with the project team to drive community projects with results and impact with parents enrolled in the Jockey Club “Family Embrace Life Journey” Parent Education Programmes.

Key responsibilities 

  • Make strategic plans for project implementation with agreed KPIs and goals from the HKJC

  • Drive project delivery according to plans and turn goals into reality

  • Engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders such as schools, NGOs, PTAs, speakers and facilitators to create designated social impact

  • Continuously engage schools and NGOs and deploy adequate resourcing such as speakers and facilitators, promotional materials, on-site support, among others

  • Ensure ongoing operation is seamless and work in-the-pipeline is prompt and effective via:

  • Meticulous planning and organization of speakers, participants, seminars, venues, schedules and costs

  • Quality of outcomes through clear and precise communications with stakeholders and frequent feedback

  • Lead or participate in meetings and pre-programme interviews with participants

  • Provide support on delivery and post-event data collection

  • Manage parents and stakeholders’ expectations and communications and address to their needs

  • Prepare delivery materials for participants’ engagement

  • Oversee duties of the Administrative Executive and the Promotion Officer and hold them accountable

  • Ensure quick turnarounds and adjust quickly towards desired outcomes

  • Pivot to untapped parent segments via deep knowledge of identified potential groups and their stakeholders

  • Optimize communication for all stakeholders of the project including the HKPEA Board of Directors, Steering Committees, servicing schools, HKJC, among others

  • Develop and uphold project management procedures, standards and protocols

  • Devise annual reports and documents as required by the HKJC for programme evaluation

About you

  • A recognized University degree in Education or a related discipline with at least 7 years of solid experience in project management in education, NGO or related sector

  • Experience in social design and/or curating ideas and actions for social good

  • A results-driven problem-solver and self-starter with good understanding of project priorities, deliverables and social capitals

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with teams and different stakeholders with various dynamics

  • Resilient and tactful, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent command of written English and spoken Cantonese and Mandarin; technologically savvy

  • Required to work at irregular hours, including Saturdays and evenings occasionally

  • Monthly salary: HK$42,000

We have passionately collaborated with schools, and organizations to organize parent education seminars and workshops.
