Position Summary

This programme aims to equip and train motivated individuals who do not have relevant banking experience but want to develop their career as Relationship Managers in the banking industry. This is an exciting role in our branches delivering high-quality financial services and support to our customers.

During the 18-month programme, Relationship Manager Trainees will be placed on a structured fast-track career path to develop the knowledge to identify customers’ financial needs, provide personalised financial solutions, and build trustful relationships with customers of diverse backgrounds. Through comprehensive classroom training, mentoring support from our management and on-the-job wealth coaching from our specialist teams. Trainees acquire in-depth understanding of the different personal banking products and distribution channels, as well as the skills to collaborate with colleagues at different customer touch points to deliver excellent customer service.

Upon completion, Trainees are able to develop their careers from the Relationship Manager Trainees to Senior Relationship Managers in 18 months’ time by delivering high-quality financial services and support to our customers in retail banking.

Selection Requirements:

  • University graduate with minimum one year's full-time working experience in financial industry, preferably in banking, OR with at least 2 years’ full-time direct sales experience from any industry

  • Hold Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examinations (IIQE Paper 1, 2, 3 & MPF or equivalent)

  • Hold Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing Examination or an Exempted / Qualified Securities Dealer (HKSI Paper 1, 7, 8 or equivalent)

  • Certified Retail Wealth Professional preferred

  • HKIB Certified Banker preferred

  • Enthusiastic and able to thrive in a sales environment; motivated by sales targets and successful in achieving them

  • Pleasant, proactive, mature, independent and customer-focused

  • Holders of Top Talent Pass or IANG are welcome

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, Cantonese a must

Programme Duration: 18 months
