Specialist I (AI Solutions)
The Specialist I (AI Solutions) will work under the Manager (AI Solutions), collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions that address strategic business challenges. This hands-on role demands deep technical expertise, strong data acumen, and the ability to translate complex algorithms into robust, production-ready applications.
Major Responsibilities:
Data Engineering and Preparation:
Conduct data collection, cleaning, and feature engineering
Establish data pipelines and ensure data quality and governance compliance
Model Development and Validation:
Research, prototype, and implement machine learning and deep learning models
Customize off-the-shelf or open-source AI tools (e.g. Azure ML, Hugging Face, Watsonx, Dify) for business needs
Perform rigorous validation, hyperparameter tuning, and bias/error analysis
Integration and Deployment:
Collaborate with IT teams to containerize models, build APIs, and integrate AI services into the company’s technology stack, adhering to CI/CD best practices
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Implement monitoring frameworks to track model performance, drift, and resource utilization
Continuously refine models to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with governance policies
Knowledge Sharing and Support:
Create technical documentation, run workshops, and support internal teams in understanding and leveraging AI tools
Contribute to the development of AI standards and playbooks
Research and Innovation:
Stay current with academic research and industry trends
Pilot cutting-edge AI techniques and recommend their adoption where they deliver clear business value
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements:
University degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, data science, or AI engineering roles, preferably within enterprise environments
Portfolio of deployed models (GitHub, case studies)
Proficiency in Python or R, machine learning frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), SQL, and experience with cloud AI/ML services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow)
Strong problem-solving skills, statistical knowledge, and familiarity with data governance and ethical AI considerations
Effective communicator capable of translating technical details into business-relevant insights
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
Specialist I (Business Solutions)
Major Responsibilities:
Assist Deputy Head and managers and work closely with internal technical teams in planning, coordinating, tracking and managing the implementation or enhancement of FinTech platforms and projects including but not limited to Credit Reference Platform, Commercial Data Interchange and mBridge
Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to collect user requirements, perform gap analysis and deliver recommendations
Coordinate with internal and external parties to perform risk assessments, security assessments and audits
Provide support to ongoing operation of FinTech platform, including the preparation of regular management reports, monitoring of budgets & resources, handling of payments to service providers and drafting of operating procedures
Assist in preparing internal and external meetings, such as arranging logistics and compiling meeting materials
Assist in any project related tasks including review of legal and governance related documents, procurement and vendor management
Assist in any ad hoc tasks as assigned by seniors
Requirements:
University education preferably in finance, business or information technology, related disciplines
Over 5 years’ experience in the areas of: (i) business analysis (ii) product development, (iii) project management, or (iv) operations of information systems or banking/financial applications
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) is essential
Confident, self-motivated and resilient, with good presentation, communication and multi-tasking skills
Experience in product/ project management, risk assessment and audit is an advantage
Knowledge in financial technology, especially central bank digital currencies, cloud computing and blockchain, is a plus
Be able to work proactively and independently
Candidates with more experience may be considered for a more senior position
Senior Specialist (Cloud Platform)
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for technical support of components related to cloud platform, including cloud management platform, network and computer platforms such as VPC, security group, network router, network switch, SDWAN, firewall, load balancer, Linux and Windows OS
Responsible for technical support of Kubernetes (K8S) platform as well as the development of scripts and templates for the automated provisioning of system resources and maintenance of relevant automation playbook, such as CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools (e.g. Ansible and Terraform)
Responsible for providing support to new project deployment and development of related SysOps matters. Collaborate with the application development teams for on-boarding of application systems to the cloud platform
Explore new cloud services offerings and implement processes and standards for optimization of the use of cloud service
Provide on-call support for emergency production incidents and on-site support for fire-fighting and perform shift duties as required
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements:
University degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably gained from major financial institutions
Hands-on experience to operate K8S solution on any cloud platform such as EKS/AKS, support capacity management for worker nodes, persistence volume, service mesh use and upkeep, network implementation and troubleshoot of K8S cluster, and address security and upgrade issue
Hands-on technical experience in network router, network switch, SDWAN, firewall and load balancer and security products are preferred
Experience in system infrastructure (e.g. system, storage and computing), Cloud, IaC and DevOps automation tools, other tools and scripts related to Ansible Tower, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Python, Ruby, Javascript, JSON, etc. are preferred
Positive attitude and strong commitment to the delivery of quality work
Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) to collaborate with different levels of stakeholders
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior position
