Head (Business Solutions)
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for the delivery of FinTech projects and management of the production service of FinTech platforms
Coordinate with internal cross-functional divisions and external vendors to ensure smooth operation of Fintech platforms
Collaborate with business stakeholders, such as the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Hong Kong Association of Banks and financial sector, to explore and develop new technological initiatives
Manage and coach the team to build secure, reliable and interoperable technological solutions
Assist the Chief Officer in maintaining healthy and sustainable financial results of projects and complying with statutory/regulatory requirements
Formulate technological policy and strategic plan to meet the business and regulatory requirements
Identify industry trends and FinTech development to facilitate a better understanding of the needs of corporate and business partners
Requirements:
University degree in information technology or related discipline
Minimum 20 years of experience in information technology or FinTech solution development of which at least 10 years at managerial position in financial industry
Possess strong knowledge of FinTech technologies such as blockchain, cloud-based application, cryptocurrency
Proven track record in managing and delivery of FinTech initatives
Extensive experience in project governance and management
Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal, communication and management skills
Good understanding of the regulatory landscape in the financial sector
In-depth knowledge of emerging FinTech trends and technologies
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese as well as fluency in Putonghua
Specialist I (Business Solutions)
Major Responsibilities:
Assist Deputy Head and managers and work closely with internal technical teams in planning, coordinating, tracking and managing the implementation or enhancement of FinTech platforms and projects including but not limited to Credit Reference Platform, Commercial Data Interchange and mBridge
Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to collect user requirements, perform gap analysis and deliver recommendations
Coordinate with internal and external parties to perform risk assessments, security assessments and audits
Provide support to ongoing operation of FinTech platform, including the preparation of regular management reports, monitoring of budgets & resources, handling of payments to service providers and drafting of operating procedures
Assist in preparing internal and external meetings, such as arranging logistics and compiling meeting materials
Assist in any project related tasks including review of legal and governance related documents, procurement and vendor management
Assist in any ad hoc tasks as assigned by seniors
Requirements:
University education preferably in finance, business or information technology, related disciplines
Over 5 years’ experience in the areas of: (i) business analysis (ii) product development, (iii) project management, or (iv) operations of information systems or banking/financial applications
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) is essential
Confident, self-motivated and resilient, with good presentation, communication and multi-tasking skills
Experience in product/ project management, risk assessment and audit is an advantage
Knowledge in financial technology, especially central bank digital currencies, cloud computing and blockchain, is a plus
Be able to work proactively and independently
