Temporary Legal Executives – Enforcement

Duties & Responsibilities:

The SFC investigates and takes enforcement actions in complex and often innovative matters under the Securities and Futures Ordinance. The litigation it conducts is exciting and challenging. We currently need legal graduates to support our investigation and litigation work. You will work closely with our investigators and litigators on a wide range of matters essential to help us investigate and commence legal proceedings, including drafting documents and correspondence, reviewing and processing evidence for use in court/tribunal cases.

Requirements:

  • Law Graduate with a good degree.

  • Preferably relevant work experience in litigation practice in a law firm.

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Knowledge in Putonghua is an advantage.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Able to produce reliable well-ordered work and present complicated information in a simple and understandable manner.

  • Able to take on multiple tasks and prioritize them under pressure with strong organization and coordination skills.

  • Show strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity.

  • Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Contract Secretary (2-Year Contract) - Corporate Finance

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of secretarial duties and administrative support to executives in the Corporate Finance Division

  • To assist in managing other ad hoc tasks / projects whenever necessary

Requirements:

  • Form 5 or above with formal secretarial training

  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant secretarial experience in the legal, banking or finance fields

Manager - Investment Products

n the ever-changing market conditions, regulators worldwide are facing increasing challenges posed by financial innovation and complex regulatory issues. As a securities regulator, the SFC is charged with the responsibilities to protect investors and to facilitate market development.

If you see yourself possessing the qualities to serve the Hong Kong market as a securities regulator, and being part of an expanding professional team in product authorization and policy formulation for fostering Hong Kong’s market development, we invite you to join us as a Manager in our Investment Products Division.

The successful candidates will be responsible for a combination of regulatory work, including the processing of applications for authorisation of retail investment products, their offering documents and marketing materials in accordance with SFC product codes; on-going monitoring of such products and gathering and analyzing market information and investment products data; providing assistance to policy-oriented research and comparative studies on international securities regulation; assisting in research projects and analysing regulatory policies, macro-economics and financial matters in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas markets.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a university degree in Law / Economic / Accounting / Finance, preferably with a minimum of five years of solid and relevant work experience in the financial services or related industries. Exposure gained in regulatory bodies, major law or audit firms, international investment banks or asset managers is preferable, with background in analytics and experience in market risk management, design and collection, mapping and analysis of market data and fund related portfolios data a plus. Experience in IPO or corporate finance related work, listed company audits and good knowledge of the Listing Rules will also be an added advantage. You should have excellent analytical, numerical, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. An excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese is required, with proficiency in Putonghua a plus.
