School Executive Officer
Maryknoll Convent School (Primary Section) is an aided Catholic girls’ school committed to nurturing students in accordance with the spirit and values of the Maryknoll Sisters. We are looking for a dedicated, capable and experienced professional to join our school as School Executive Officer (School ExO).
The School Executive Officer will assist the Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) and the Principal in the effective administration and operation of the School. The post-holder will coordinate school administrative matters, support financial and human resource administration, supervise and manage the duties of non-teaching staff, and liaise with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the smooth and effective operation of the School.
Key Responsibilities
IMC Governance and School Administration
Assist the IMC in governance, internal control and school administrative matters.
Support IMC meetings, including preparation of documents and minutes, and related school manager matters.
Assist in reviewing and implementing school-based administrative procedures.
Financial Resource Management
Assist in budgeting, financial control, accounting and maintenance of financial records.
Assist in procurement, school trading operations and the administration of donations.
Human Resource Management
Assist in staff appointment, promotion, acting appointment, termination, leave and salary-related matters.
Maintain appropriate personnel records and handle confidential information with discretion.
Non-teaching Staff Management
Supervise and manage the duties of non-teaching staff.
Coordinate and monitor the work of administrative and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the School.
School Operations and Stakeholder Liaison
Assist in school complaints, crisis management, parent education, school premises and safety matters.
Liaise with parents, school managers, the sponsoring body, government departments, service providers and other stakeholders.
Handle routine school administrative matters and other duties related to the post.
Relevant Experience
Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage:
school administration or school operations;
financial management, budgeting and financial control;
human resource administration;
procurement and contract administration;
committee, board or governance secretariat work;
supervision and management of non-teaching or support staff;
liaison with government departments and external organisations; and
education-sector or other comparable administrative management experience.
Previous experience as a School Executive Officer is not essential. Candidates with relevant professional experience in administration, finance, human resources, operations or staff supervision are welcome to apply.

Terms of Appointment
Appointment in accordance with the EDB requirements for School Executive Officers in aided schools;
Salary: Master Pay Scale Points 15–27, subject to prevailing arrangements and recognition of relevant experience;
Two-year probationary period;
