Assistant Marketing Manager/Marketing Manager, Event Management

The Assistant Marketing Manager (Event Management) is responsible for planning and executing fundraising events aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals. The candidate will lead a team in implementing various fundraising initiatives that engage the public and encourage both one-time and recurring donations.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop, plan, and execute fundraising signature events such as "Donate a Pencil for Girls" and "Run for Girls" to engage the public, boost one-time donations, and facilitate the recruitment of on-site regular givers.

  • Create high-quality marketing and communication materials to promote these events effectively.

  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of all events.

  • Prepare and monitor the event budget, meticulously tracking both income and expenses.

  • Compile event evaluation reports to drive continuous improvement.

  • Coach and guide subordinates to ensure tasks are executed effectively.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Who are we looking for?

Level of education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in the area of Event Management, Public Relations, Business Management, Marketing, and Communications

Knowledge / Job Specific Competencies

  • Proven experience in planning and organising successful events that meet established targets.

  • Strong knowledge of event management principles and best practices.

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Excellent written communication skills in both Chinese and English.

  • Experience in the NGO sector is preferred.

  • Candidates with stronger competence will be considered for the role of Manager.
