Officer, Donor Engagement
About the role
The Officer, Donor Engagement supports donor engagement and retention through the delivery of campaigns, communications, and engagement initiatives that strengthen supporters' understanding of Plan International Hong Kong's work and impact. The role contributes to a positive donor experience by developing donor communications, coordinating projects and events, and providing administrative support.
Key responsibilities
Plan and implement donor engagement initiatives, including online, telemarketing, and offline campaigns and events, to enhance donors' understanding of Plan International Hong Kong's values, programmes, and use of funds
Develop content and campaign scripts, manage events, and coordinate logistics
Develop and update donor-facing communications and stewardship materials, including onboarding or ongoing donor journey communications, supporter service templates, and engagement collateral
Manage donor communication projects, including the annual donation receipt campaign
Copywriting and translation of global sponsorship and corporate communication materials, including Programme Area Overview (PAO) reports, Programme Area Annual Update (PAU) reports, and impact reports
Support the translation and processing of correspondence between sponsored children and sponsors
Provide administrative support to the department, including mail handling and filing, and perform other ad hoc duties as assigned
About you
University degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or related disciplines
Minimum 3 years' experience in marketing, communications, donor engagement, or project management
Strong copywriting, editing, and translation skills in both Chinese and English
Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Detail-oriented and well-organised
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Proactive, creative, and self-motivated
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passionate about advancing children's rights and equality.
About us
The Supporter Experience Department plays a crucial role in building a close relationship between Plan International Hong Kong and its supporters. The department focuses on donor retention and engagement by providing quality donor services, processing donations and handling follow-ups, delivering donor-oriented sponsorship fulfilment and communications, and organising engagement activities.
