The Occupational Safety & Health Council is a statutory body established for the promotion of higher safety & health standards in Hong Kong. The Council invites applications for the following post:

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Duties:

To provide general administrative support to different functions of the Council and any other duties as assigned by the Council.

Requirements:

  • Grade E/Level 2 or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language, English Language (“Syllabus B” before 2007) and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent;

  • Good communication skills including written and spoken Chinese & English;

  • Good knowledge in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.;

  • Good English and Chinese (Changjie/Quick/Pingyin) typing skill;

  • Possession of good customer service skills/ telephone manner, and a pleasant personality is a must;

  • Fresh graduates are welcomed.

The appointee would be required to work 5 days per week with flexibility to work on Saturday and Sunday. Successful appointee will be employed on contract terms.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (ACCOUNTS)

Duties:

To perform accounting duties and provide administrative support to the Accounting Team and other duties as assigned by the Council.

Requirements:

  • Grade E/Level 2 or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language, English Language (“Syllabus B” before 2007) and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent;

  • Diploma in Accounting from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution or a registered student of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants Qualification Programme, or equivalent;

  • Good communication skills including written and spoken Chinese & English;

  • Good knowledge in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.

  • Familiar with major accounting system will be an advantage;

  • Good English and Chinese (Changjie/Quick/Pingyin) typing skill;

  • Possession of good interpersonal skills / telephone manner, and a pleasant personality is a must;

  • Preferences will be given to those with 2-3 years solid working experience in accounting, but Fresh graduates are also welcomed.

The appointee would be required to work 5 days per week with flexibility to work on Saturday and Sunday. Successful appointee will be employed on contract terms.

ASSISTANT MANAGER (PUBLICITY) 助理經理(宣傳)

Duties:

  • To assist in planning, organizing projects/activities and drafting publications;

  • To support the administrative function of the Council including serving as committee secretary; and

  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Council.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, with preferably 3 years of relevant working experience; applicants with less than 3 years relevant working experience will be considered for the post of Publicity Officer or Assistant Publicity Officer;

  • Working experience in public relations/marketing will be a definite advantage;

  • Possess an analytical mind with excellent communication skills and genuine interest in community work;

  • With strong motivation and good interpersonal skill;

  • Must have a good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English; and

  • Good knowledge in computer applications.

The appointee would be required to work at non-office hours and undertake outdoor duties. Successful appointee will be employed on contract terms.

Part-time Training Assistant

Duties:

  • to assist in day-to-day course administration including preparation and updating of course materials, input course enrolment data, prepare reports and general clerical duties;

  • to set up and prepare classrooms for training courses including training equipment, facilities, notes, etc.;

  • to check the classrooms facilities are in proper order;

  • to assist in the invigilating duties during examinations;

  • to assist in reception duties and answering enquiries;

  • to assist in registration for seminars and talks;

  • to provide general administrative support to the Council and any other duties assigned by the Council.

Requirements:

Applicants should –

  • have Grade E/Level 2 or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language, English Language (“Syllabus B” before 2007) and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent;

  • have good communication skills including written and spoken Chinese & English;

  • have good knowledge in computer applications;

  • have good English and Chinese(Changjie/Quick/Pingyin) typing skill;

  • have working experience in office administration and customer service is an advantage; and

  • have good telephone manner and pleasant personality

Work location normally at Tsing Yi or North Point. The place of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs. Applications are accepted all year round.
