Deputy Services Director

The Children's Cancer Foundation (the Foundation) aims to improve the quality of life for young patients and their families in caring for their physical, psychological and social well-being.

To support our service development, we are now inviting passionate applicants to join us in walking alongside young patients with complex medical conditions and their families during difficult times.

Duties :

  • Play a pivotal role in maintaining service standard, driving service growth and expansion in the arena of childhood cancer and other serious paediatric illnesses

  • Oversees all aspects of ongoing service programmes, including planning, budgeting, marketing, implementation, outcome reporting, evaluation and impact analysis

  • Identify service gap and conduct needs analysis for service development

  • Enhance service governance by continuously updating procedures, protocols, and case manuals to ensure consistent service quality

  • Support the Services Director to oversee and manage the Foundation's multidisciplinary teams (nursing, social work and child life specialist) to uphold excellence in service standards and effectiveness

  • Liaise with key stakeholders and represent the Services Director in external partnerships and strategic forums, as required

  • Cultivate new collaborative networks within the paediatric healthcare community to develop, launch and deliver coordinated, high quality services to targeted client groups

Requirements :

  • A university degree in health or allied health disciplines; a Master's degree is preferred

  • At least 10 years' post-qualification, including senior management experience within an NGO

  • Extensive knowledge of, and a strong network within, the paediatric healthcare sector, including statutory bodies, academia and child-related NGOs

  • Demonstrate understanding of international best practice in the sector, with the ability to apply this within Hong Kong context

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
