About us:
Shaped by Dominique and Arthur de Villepin’s passion for art, Villepin is a new gallery model created by collectors for collectors. Founded in 2019 in Hong Kong, Villepin specialises in selected important artists, estates, and foundations. It advocates their work through carefully curated exhibitions while bridging them with the leading collectors and institutions in the Asia-Pacific region and around the world. Beyond its gallery walls, Villepin also acts as a curator for exhibitions in museums and institutions.
As an Art Exhibition Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in the curation and design process of our exhibitions. You will be responsible for utilising your expertise in multimedia design, 3D rendering, and SketchUp to create captivating and visually stunning exhibition spaces. Your main objective will be to collaborate with the curatorial team to develop and execute the scenography, ensuring a seamless and immersive art experience for our visitors.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the curatorial team to understand the exhibition concept, themes, and objectives.
Use your expertise in multimedia design and 3D rendering to create virtual representations of exhibition spaces, incorporating artwork placement, lighting, and overall visual aesthetics.
Utilize SketchUp and other relevant software to develop detailed and accurate 3D models of exhibition spaces, allowing for effective planning and visualisation.
Assist in the curation process by providing input on the selection and arrangement of artwork, ensuring a cohesive and engaging narrative.
Work closely with the exhibition production team to ensure the successful implementation of the scenography, including the setup of displays, lighting, and interactive elements.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in multimedia design and exhibition techniques, bringing innovative ideas and approaches to enhance the visitor experience.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Multimedia Design, Exhibition Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in multimedia design, with a focus on 3D rendering and SketchUp.
Strong proficiency in relevant software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software.
A portfolio showcasing your previous work in exhibition scenography and multimedia design.
Excellent understanding of visual aesthetics, spatial design, and storytelling.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with the curatorial and production teams.
Passion for contemporary and modern art, with a deep understanding of art history and artistic movements.
