Executive Assistant I (Human Resources Office)

Major Duties:
(a) To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Human Resource Office;
(b) To provide support in all-round Human Resources functions, including but not limited to staff recruitment, onboarding & offboarding processes, and compensation & benefits etc.;
(c) To maintain accurate and updated employee databases and filing records;
(d) To draft official correspondence, including emails, letters and notices;
(e) To handle the sourcing, ordering and stock management of office supplies;
(f) To assist in HR document management, and the compilation of management reports and statistics;
(g) To supervise the work of junior and/or minor grade staff;
(h) To provide logistical and on-site support for the Institute’s events and activities; and
(i) To provide logistical support for various boards, meetings and staff activities.
Requirements:
(a)(i) Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent^; OR
(ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); OR
(iii) Diploma of Applied Education + Maths Plus / Diploma Yi Jin + Mathematics / Project Yi Jin; OR
(iv) A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR
(v) A recognised Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above.
*Completion of the Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
^“Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSE Examination are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects.
(b) At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the capacity of Executive Assistant (or equivalent) rank;
(c) A high proficiency in the use of computer application software;
(d) Good command of English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua;
(e) Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
(f) Flexible, polite, detail-minded, organised and self-initiated;
(g) Demonstrate a strong sense of confidentiality and integrity; and
(h) Ability to work independently and as a good team player.
Notes:
(1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend and pass a computer skills test.
(2) The appointee may be required to work irregular hours, shifts, and weekends, as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.

Professor / Associate Professor(Department of Hospitality & Business Management)

Major Duties:
The appointee is expected to provide strong academic leadership by contributing to the planning, development, implementation and review of the academic programmes under the Department of Hospitality and Business Management. The appointee will also provide strong academic leadership in the formulation of learning and teaching strategies; curriculum development of programme modules for the academic programmes in the Department; and research activities in the field of Business Administration, particularly in Business Intelligence and Analytics, Cyber Security in Business, Digital Marketing, Public Relations and Events Management, Strategic Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The appointee will take part in teaching and supervising student work; delivering quality programmes; and leading and participating in scholarly activities, including but not limited to research, consultancy, networking, collaboration with industry and promoting the Institute and the programmes. The appointee will also be expected to maintain close contacts with industry, commerce, and other educational institutes on collaborative arrangements to promote and ensure the relevance and excellence of the programmes.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Doctoral degree in Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality, or a related area, with relevant teaching experience at tertiary level; demonstrated achievement in research and scholarly activities, and experience in professional practice in the relevant fields. The candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills, and possess high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua. A proven record of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan campus.
