Assistant Finance Manager

Assistant Finance Manager in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 492576) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal) 

Applicants should possess a recognized degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.  They should have a good command of English and Chinese, proficiency in PC and accounting software applications such as Oracle Financials, strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and be self-motivated.  Knowledge of Putonghua would be an advantage.  The appointee’s duties include, but not limited to, (a) preparing timely regular and ad-hoc financial reports; (b) preparing financial forecasts and projections; and (c) participating in the resource planning and management.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant)

Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) in the University Health Service (Ref.: 492553) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 5 years’ work experience, preferably in the education sector.  Those with a Bachelor’s degree are highly preferred.  Applicants should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good telephone manners and communication, and good knowledge of PC and software applications (such as MS Word, Excel, and Power Point).  Knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop would be an advantage.  They should also have a strong sense of responsibility with positive attitude and work ethic, the ability to multi-task, work independently and under pressure, and be self-motivated.  Those with a Bachelor’s degree will be offered the functional title of Executive Assistant.  The appointee will perform secretarial, administrative and clerical duties, provide customer service for front counter, handle enquiries, and perform any other duties as assigned.

Systems Support Officer (at the rank of IT Technician)

Systems Support Officer (at the rank of IT Technician) in the University Health Service (Ref.: 492552) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System or a related field, preferably with at least 5 years’ relevant experience.  They should have good knowledge in Linux and Windows server administration and networking.  Experience in content management systems for website (e.g. Drupal, WordPress), knowledge of information security (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, vulnerability scanning) and vendor management experience are required.  Certification in System administration, Database, ITIL v3 Foundation or PRINCE2, as well as computer programming (e.g. PHP, JSP, HTML, MSSQL and MySQL) would be an added advantage.  The appointee should be a team player with good customer service and excellent communication skills; be self-motivated and hard-working; and have a strong sense of responsibility.  He/She will be responsible for server management, specialized/integrated systems support, maintenance of websites, as well as desktop and end user IT support.
