Assistant Officer (Ref. 18041219-E)

The appointee will be required to:

  • Support the administration of research grants, research and taught postgraduate degrees;

  • Provide secretarial support to committees and working groups;

  • Support the planning, coordination and implementation of promotional and marketing activities, special events, seminars, workshops and special projects;

  • Liaise with internal departments and external organizations including professional bodies;

  • Compile reports and proposals;

  • Supervise junior staff and student helpers.

Applicants should have:

  • A recognised degree;

  • At least three years of relevant post-qualification experience;

  • A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua; (d) good computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, etc.;

  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Positive work attitude and team spirits, with the ability to work independently.

  • Preference will be given to those with working experience in tertiary institution.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.
 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service:

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
