Assistant Manager, Safety Management Systems (Air Safety)

Main purpose of the Job:

Support the Manager, Safety Management Systems with the development, implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management Systems (SMS) in flight and cabin operations.

Directly responsible for:

  • Supervisor, Safety Management Systems (Air Safety)

  • Officer, Safety Management Systems (Air Safety)

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for routine review and processing of safety reports submitted to Quality, Safety & Security Department.

  • Responsible for conducting investigations (in conjunction with the FOQA specialist) into accidents, incidents and/or irregularities affecting the safety of operations.  Conduct investigation interviews and debriefing accordingly to include the use of FOQA data.  Produce investigation reports and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.

  • Support the MSMS in managing the day-to-day activities of the Safety Management Systems in flight and cabin operations.

  • Assist MSMS in the maintenance and development of the electronic safety reporting system.

  • Support the MSMS in maintaining the currency and relevance of the Safety Management System Manual by proposing and drafting amendments.

  • Conduct inspections / surveys / assessment / analysis as and when directed by the MSMS and produce reports to ascertain operational safety is achieved.

  • Communicate and interface with appropriate departments to track the safety actions arising from investigations / Safety Action Group (SAG) / routine safety assessments and ensure they are implemented in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Responsible for production and dissemination of safety promotion material through company intranet, notice board, newsletter and any other suitable media.

  • Assist the MSMS in conducting SMS related trainings and briefings to company employees.

  • Participate in IOSA program as and when directed by the MSMS.

  • Participate in various safety meetings and provide administrative support as required.

  • Assist in performing safety risk assessment and change management as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in the airline industry, preferably in flight or cabin operations.

  • Aviation safety investigation qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Safety Management System.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical, aviation or engineering discipline.

  • Flying experience desirable.

  • Strong analytical capabilities.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven command of spoken and written English.  Knowledge in Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) is an added advantage.

  • Good computer literacy.

Assistant, Ancillary Revenue (Intern)

Role and responsibilities:

Trainees are expected to:

  • Handle Inflight F&B purchase order management, e.g. drinks, meals, snacks, tissues etc.

  • Handle duty free & travel insurance product daily coordination;

  • Assist in catering operation and regular audit;

  • Assist to manually create Uflypass for corporate clients;

  • Assist to proceed payment and issue invoices for ancillary incomes;

  • Assist to arrange design, printing, shipping and consumption progress for product related catalogs, leaflets, ads, coupons;

  • Manage Inflight consumption material purchase and inventory;

  • Assist to consolidate daily revenue report;

  • Obtain a letter of reference if the candidate performs up to the company's expectation.


  • Undergraduate student in any discipline, preferably in business / finance / accounting / marketing / aviation / tourism / logistic / food science / food technology or other related discipline, with good academic results;

  • Self-motivated and energetic team players with a good business and commercial sense;

  • Solid commercial knowledge, good data analysis ability;

  • Strong analytical and organizing capabilities;

  • Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese language is a plus;

  • Right to work and abode in Hong Kong;

  • Able to work at least 2 working days per week from February 2019, last long for at least 4 months.

Line Maintenance Engineer (Outstation Representative - Japan)

Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Develop and optimize the maintenance arrangement solution for Japan station;

  • Manage routine maintenance, servicing and certification of the company aircraft in accordance with the company standards and procedures;

  • Perform defect trouble-shooting, rectification and certification for the company aircraft in the station and the regional stations as required;

  • Supervise and monitor the performance of local subcontractors;

  • Perform duties in accordance with the company fleet schedule;

  • Maintain the company facilities and equipment in the station;

  • Control and initiate local strategies to achieve effective utilization of station resources, including manpower, equipment, facilities and aircraft spares;

  • Manage AOG recovery and provision of a contingency plan to cover operational requirements such as diversions, ad hoc operations, major technical failures, incidents and accidents;

  • Support HKE QA to perform station training, survey and audit as required;

  • Respond and follow up audit findings and safety occurrence reports;

  • Ensure effective communication with MCC, local management, airport traffic, internal customers and service providers;

  • Provide periodically operational reports to HKG headquarter.


  • Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance experience and A320/A321 CRS experience is required;

  • Valid aircraft maintenance basic license holder with A320/A321 type rating endorsed or equivalence (HKAR, EASA and CCAR etc.);

  • Solid experience of A320/A321 defect trouble-shooting;

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Effective decision-making skills;

  • Willingness to work in variable shift duty.

Flight Attendant


  • Have the right of abode in Hong Kong;

  • Minimum age of 18;

  • Minimum arm-reach of 208 cm and physical fitness to pass the pre-employment medical assessment;

  • Minimum of Grade E in 5 HKCEE subjects (including Level 2 or above in English & Chinese Language) OR Minimum Level 2 in 5 HKDSE NSS subjects (including English & Chinese Language) OR Equivalent;

  • Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese language is a plus;

  • Knowledge of other Asian languages, particularly Japanese and Korean, would be an advantage;

  • Outgoing and stunning personality;

  • Inexhaustible smile, vibrant and energetic;

  • Polished communication skills;

  • Possess a positive and customer-oriented attitude;

  • Good team player;

  • Experienced in service industry would be an added advantage.
