Assistant Vice President, Clearing Operations (Hotline and Training Sevices)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team providing customer services and handling enquiries relating to securities and derivatives clearing and settlement (CCASS/DCASS/China Connect) of Clearing Participants as well as query from retail investors with respect to Investor Account Service (IP)

  • Design and develop training/presentation materials focus on CCASS, DCASS and IP and to lead training sessions / seminars independently for internal teams and Clearing Participants

  • Keep abreast of participants’ service requirements and proactively drive changes on Hotline and Training services

  • Identify areas for improvements to existing operational processes, make appropriate proposals and implementation plan with proper internal control in place

  • Plan and manage quality delivery of projects/system enhancement and supervise user testing

  • Undertake other special or ad hoc projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • University Degree, preferably in Finance / Business Administration or related disciplines

  • At least 6 years’ relevant experience in securities/derivatives clearing, settlement operation, hotline services and training delivery

  • A proactive attitude with problem-solving mind-set

  • Open-minded to drive change within the organization

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua an advantage

  • Conversant with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint

  • Good relationship and communication skills to coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders and external customers

Associate – Listing (Business Management Team)

Job Responsibilities:

- Support with budgeting and monitoring of financial and resource allocation in order to provide an adequate financial and manpower strength to the Department

- Coordinate with other HKEX Departments (including Information Technology Department) and external service providers, where appropriate, to deploy new technology to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency

- Assist in periodic reporting, risk reporting and other ad-hoc reporting to meet with various reporting requirements of the Department

- Update business contingency plans and oversee contingency drills

- Assist with web postings and provide operational and administration support to systems

- Provide support for adhoc projects or tasks within the Department



- University degree, preferably in Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or related subject

- At least 3 years working experience in well-established organisations with operational and project management skills preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong computer skills and conversant with MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and statistical software

- Working experience with FinTech/RegTech/AI/office process automation technology is a plus

- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage

Research Associate - Listing (IPO Vetting) (for a 6-months contract)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and data compilation and perform basis analysis using internal databases

  • Check and ensure all required documents are submitted according to the checklists

  • Assist in handling complaints procedures

  • Prepare administrative letters

  • Manage and maintain various databases for the department

  • Translate documents, sort information and compile tables/ reports for various purposes and assist in departmental administration

  • Assist in ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any disciplines

  • At least two years' work experience, preferably in accounting, law, corporate finance, investment banking or a related field

  • Diligent, well-organised, energetic and willing to learn

  • Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Proficient in conducting research and data compilation, relevant experience in the field of the securities industry is preferred

  • Good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
