Safety Assistant (Administration)

The applicant must possess:

  • Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including English and Chinese in the HKDSE; Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English and Chinese in the HKCEE; or equivalent;

  • a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification work experience in administrative work, preferably in construction field;

  • high integrity, mature and able to work independently;

  • a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork;

  • proficiency in Microsoft application software (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.) and Chinese word processing;

  • good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and

  • able to work in Kwai Chung area.

Duties include:

  • to conduct daily administrative duties of safety training unit;

  • to assist in the preparation and coordination of safety training programmes or projects, including but not limited to handling applications and enrollments, preparing reports, handling documents and mails, preparing course attendance sheets, certificates and questionnaires, answering enquiries from telephone etc.;

  • to set up and prepare training materials / equipment for lectures;

  • to provide support and guidance to students;

  • to keep track of the maintenance, repair and storage of training material / equipment; and

  • to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

Assistant Manager – Construction Innovation & Technology Fund (CITF)

  • The applicant must possess:

  • a recognised degree in construction related disciplines;

  • a minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience;

  • familiarize with the construction industry of Hong Kong including operations of the stakeholder parties such as contractors and subcontractors and execution of different projects;

  • experience in promulgating and adopting innovation and technology in the construction industry of Hong Kong;

  • a high level of integrity and a good sense of responsibility; good communication and interpersonal skill;

  • proactive attitude and detailed-minded for quality delivery in assigned tasks;

  • proficiency in Microsoft application software (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); good Chinese word processing skill is a must; and

  • excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. 

Duties include:

  • to handle the assigned CITF applications from vetting the applications at the application stage till full reimbursements; and to keep track the applicants’ progress closely including performing on-site inspection at the applicants’ offices and construction sites;

  • to review applications vetted by the team to ensure full compliance with the framework, terms and conditions as well as service pledge; and to be a role model to subordinates;

  • to provide secretariat support to the Committee and Vetting Sub-committees and prepare the agenda, papers, minutes and other relevant documents;

  • to enhance and timely update the operational manual of the CITF;

  • to maintain close liaison with industry stakeholders as to the utilization of the funds and challenges faced; and to provide suggestions for management consideration where appropriate to keep the CITF robust to support industry development;

  • to source suitable innovation and technology for use in the construction industry;

  • to prepare bilingual management reports as well as presentation materials in PowerPoint; and

  • to carry out any other duties assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
