The Construction Industry Council (CIC) main functions of CIC are to forge consensus on long-term strategic issues, convey the industry’s needs and aspirations to Government, as well as provide a communication channel for Government to solicit advice on all construction-related matters. Assistant Officer – Trade Testing (Service Enhancement)

The applicant must possess:

  • a recognised diploma or above;

  • a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification work experience in event planning and promotion activities in sizeable organisations or public organisations;

  • experience in promotion and marketing would be advantage;

  • presentable and mature character, with strong interpersonal and communications skills;

  • good organisation skills, proactive work attitude, and ability to manage multiple tasks with good time management to meet strict deadlines; and

  • good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

Duties include:

  • to co-ordinate and carry out all duties in the organisation of activities such as visits, seminar and exhibition etc.;

  • to assist in promotion campaign for Trade Testing and its service centre;

  • to draft and prepare publicity materials for Trade Testing and its related services;

  • to perform general clerical duties and planning of administrative work; and

  • to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

Senior Officer – Modular Integrated Construction

The applicant must possess:

  • a recognised degree, preferably in business administration, social science, language or construction-related discipline;

  • a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification work experience in providing secretariat or administrative support to sizable organisations; knowledge or experience in construction industry is preferred;

  • good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

  • proficiency in Microsoft application software (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);

  • a high level of integrity, a sense of accountability and strong interpersonal skills; and

  • a proactive, resourceful, meticulous character and can work independently.

(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

Duties include:

  • to execute promotion plan of Modular Integrated Construction (“MiC”), including arranging and organizing workshops, seminars, events and conferences;

  • to maintain an online information hub and to assist in carrying out a wide spectrum of duties including information research and analysis, compiling reports, drafting correspondences, discussion papers, study brief, etc;

  • to assist in supervising the general administration and guided tours of the MiC Display Centre for introducing the vision, mission and various features of the MiC and the thematic exhibitions;

  • to provide secretariat support to the CIC, its committees and task forces as well as its associated meetings, including preparation of bilingual papers and minutes for the meetings;

  • to be responsible for filing and record management of the CIC, its committees and task forces;

  • to coordinate and manage assignments or studies undertaken by external vendors and consultants;

  • to liaise with stakeholders and relevant parties on matters in relation to MiC and the construction industry; and

  • to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

Applications:

The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
