Facilities Manager

Job Description:

Manage the technical aspects of Property & Facilities in Dairy Farm Store Support Centre, Dairy Farm Training Centre and office/warehouse in distribution Centre and other Dairy Farm Owned Properties.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the operation and management of the technical facilities including but not limited to air-conditioning system, fire service, plumbing & drainage, electricity supply, lighting system, security system and related building works within DF leased & owned Properties.

  • Ensure managed Property & facilities meets government regulations, environmental, health & safety requirements and comply with legislation

  • Manage renovation/restacking/relocation projects and assist in supervising contractors’ work performance.

  • Carry out tender document & drawings preparation, contract administration, site works supervision in relation to the construction.

  • Coordinate with vendors to perform a wide range of facilities related services.

  • Provide support and solutions to users on FM work requests.

  • Design and review maintenance procedures / plan and evaluate the results.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Tertiary education or above in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Service Engineering/Facilities Management/Building Surveying/Business Management or equivalent

  • At least 8 years solid experience in building services maintenance/construction/property & facilities management, with 2 years at managerial level

  • Strong knowledge in E&M and quality control

  • Holder of Registered Electrical Worker (Grade A)

  • Self-motivated with strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese

  • Good PC knowledge of MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, etc

Group Property Assets and Estate Manager

Job Description:

The incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Group’s property and assets strategy, manage and review the Dairy Farm property portfolio, in order to support the strategic business planning, investment and lease management in our markets across Asia.

The Job:

  • Formulate and implement the framework, strategy and assessment model for property lease renewal or new retail investment projects

  • Provide support and guidance to Country Property teams for business plans, budgets, forecasts, analyses, as well as developing negotiation strategies and landlord relationship management

  • Build and maintain strong partnership with key developers, landlords and property agents at Group level, and assist in terms negotation & contract review

  • Maximize total return for each asset through analysis of property efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance and value-addition.

  • Grasp the up-to-date market changes including government policies, economic environment, real estate transaction, in order to identify property investment opportunities

  • Conduct site/ field visit to various countries to keep abreast of latest market changes

The Person:

  • Bachelor degree or above, preferably in Business, or Real Estate Management related disciplines

  • 8 years or above relevant experience in Property Investment/ Asset Management/ Leasing, ideally with experience in various countries in Asia.  Experience in Retail industry is a plus.

  • Strong business acumen, familiar with real estate/ property transaction and leasing management/ market practice

  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills, and with strong analytical mind

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage
